Gaza Strip
Attacks: There are no safe places for the militarily-dominated population in Gaza, who find themselves subjected to airstrikes and other missile attacks on buildings, homes and many essentialfacilities, as well as constant gunfire and invasions by Israeli forces. The Israeli Navy continues to fire missiles, targeting facilities and buildings along the entire Gaza shoreline.
Victims: 88 more people have been killed within the past 48 hours, bringing the total number killed in Gaza since 7 October 2023 to at least 46,876. Another 189 have been wounded, bringing that total to 110,642. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 110 and, that of those injured, is now more than 236.

The Palestinian delegation negotiating the Gaza “ceasefire” agreement in Doha made an eleventh-hour effort earlier this week to push for the release of two of the most high-profile political prisoners held by Israel: Marwan Barghouti, a popular political leader many believe would win a democratic election in Palestine, and Ahmad Sa’adat, Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
After the agreement was announced in Doha on Wednesday, Israel and the US falsely portrayed Hamas as upending the deal. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday accused Hamas of trying to “extort last minute concessions”, saying in a statement that “Hamas reneged on parts of the agreement reached with the mediators.” Sources close to the Gaza ceasefire negotiations, however, told Drop Site that the Palestinian side renewed their push for Barghouti and Sa’adat as a result of Israel’s last minute attempt to expedite the release of a group of male Israeli soldiers held in Gaza. Some Palestinian sources suggested the move may have been motivated by Netanyahu’s efforts to convince National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to support the deal. Hamas and Israel had previously agreed to the release of five female Israeli soldiers in Phase 1 of the deal. It is not known precisely how many living Israeli soldiers remain in captivity in Gaza. Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (including even permit– holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, otherwise than for especially–negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
