The great molester of American journalism has been sacked.
No one sold culture war spite quite like Tucker. He was less a journalist and more a manipulator of facts and contrarian malice.
The redacted commentary from him in the recent defamation case suggests he has said an enormous amount of damaging things regarding Fox Management and while you can lie for the Republicans, you can’t tell the truth about Fox management.
The appalling hypocrisy exposed by Carlson between what he privately knew regarding Trump’s lies and what he publicly said to his audience is a venality of journalism that degrades the entire industry.
Hosts like Tucker knowingly peddling falsehoods that undermined the very fabric of Democratic norms and fuelled an insurrection. He is not and never was a journalist.
Tucker is culpable for the damaged debate in America that has warped politics into an existential threat against each other. Being sacked is great, but it doesn’t punish the Network who enabled him.

Let’s see how this plays out. I think it’s more likely that Tucker will pivot from this towards a new media platform like The Daily Show or The Blaze reaching even more people without the albeit light moderating editorial influence Fox will have had. He will also be a martyr to his base. In other words everything the left in the US don’t want.

Hi Millsy, I neither support nor watch Tucker. I don’t watch any cable TV. My comment was directed more towards my expectation that Tucker will bounce forward and up, reaching more people etc due to the changes in the media landscape and that this will be a staggeringly huge own goal for the left in the US. They’re celebrating his demise. I think they may regret his departure from Fox.
