By the third attempt to get a full list of what was required, they had added that I needed a doctors note as well as practically documenting my life for them.. Went to the ASB, and had my account by the end of that day.. Your argument doesn’t hold up when reality kicks in, so I wonder why you even bothered to make it… You don’t work for Kiwibank do you?

Yes most trans and other LGBT people just want to get on with their lives and should be allowed to. The issue here is modern Trans activism (not trans people). The ideology is destructive, irrational and actions are extremely illiberal. It stands on and claims to advance from the achievements of earlier generations of LGBT activists but is antithetical to them.
I fear a continuing decline of hard won respect and acceptance of the LGBT community in mainstream society. This is not because of something akin to a resurgence of conservative christianity but an entirely predictable backlash in reaction to the multitude excesses of queer theory ideologues. As a mirror to the woke idiots who provoked it, I doubt any backlash will be discriminating beyond superficial identity.
