Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. “I will leave it for others to dissect the remaining political entrails of this corpse of a mayor but suffice it to say that a politician who cannot even FAKE EMPATHY AND COMPASSION for those in his electorate who have been negatively impacted by the storm (including many who have lost everything, and in four cases, their lives), and who victim-blames those worst affected and finger-points at his subordinates when it comes to assigning responsibility for response delays and “mistakes” while arguing with media in front of cameras during press stand-ups, is not fit to be a parking warden much less mayor of NZ’s largest city.”

Love it! He (Damien Grant’s lookalike Geez Wayne ) would have been better off angling for a senior management job in either of a few gummint agencies

  2. Can neither make it or fake it – he is in Damocles sword territory.

But how can people make realistic judgments – they have no time for thought when they have live feed from the Russo-Ukrainian war. Why bother with looking and thinking about your own life and surroundings when you can sit back and participate in foreign wars as they happen.

It’s all gladiatorial stuff and creates another conflict, the opinions of the watchers who are totally entranced by the show and take sides; next will be betting on the various scenes to come and outcomes in this theatre of war. In the old days to amuse the men it would be bear baiting, cockfights etc but we have moved on from such simple pleasures in our educated, technocratic society.

  3. A coaxing little song from Labour to the voters?

Would you like to learn to sing?
Would you like to sing my song?
Would you like to learn to love me best of all?
Anyone can learn the words and the melody’s so plain
This is my song to bring you back again

Note – this is the scabrous society we live in behind the fine clothes and houses, and imported this and that and shops full of designer items to hang on you or your walls and coo over. And big-bottomed cars (is one allowed to call cars fat?) with extras that show which way to Mars and if you are within a metre from the kerb etc. and tomorrow’s stock exchange projections for your favoured bets.

A man on parole who brutally murdered Colombian woman Juliana Bonilla-Herrera in her Christchurch home has been jailed for life for a crime described as a person’s “worst nightmare”.
Convicted rapist Joseph James Brider attacked Bonilla-Herrera as she slept in her bed in Addington in January 2022, just nine weeks after he was paroled from prison.

Do we need to reinstate a better three strikes law with a death sentence for certain dangerous people? We can feel sorry about the background of criminals but the deeply damaged then spread their style and we suffer who dhouldn’t.
