The issue with the rapidly deteriorating Covid situation in China is that a new variant we haven’t seen yet may be on the bubble there.
Yes we have high vaccination rates and yes we have an existing out break here, but it’s the threat of a deadly new variant coming out of China and carried here by fleeing locals that is the problem.

Every single time you catch Covid you roll the dice as to whether or not it will give you long Covid.

I don’t think we are truly appreciating how damaging Covid is and because of that if we are seriously considering restricting visitors from China then we also need to restrict visitors from America because a new variant is showing it can bypass vaccines…

We should have started the restrictions when people were arriving from UE, UK and USA etc. They brought all the current variants in and is the reason we have high omicron infections and deaths.
