MEDIAWATCH: NZ on Air funded crocodile tears from shocked Middle Class Marxists will be used to plant trees on Parliament’s lawn

After decrying everyone at the protest as Nazis, the middle class marxists want their kindness brand back thanks…

The recovery from Covid must focus on strengthening communities

Teanau Tuiono is a Green Party List MP of Cook Islands and Māori heritage, based in Palmerston North.

…after screaming that everyone at the protest was a white nationalist, the middle class marxists are now crying NZ on Air crocodile tears for a solidarity they moved away from a long time ago.

No where is this schizophrenic journalism best seen than over at the painfully middle class woke Stuff.

After spending 3 weeks crying fascist and laughing the rabble off, they now want to pretend to give a fuck about all those ‘Nazis’.

I love how many of the middle class marxists who screamed for the military to intervene on Day 2 are now all about being friends and reaching out.

Fuck off.

We saw who you are.

The moment your privilege and pretensions were pricked, you wanted the fucking military in there to deal to them.

We can’t forget seeing that.

The modern left are middle class, they have benefitted from work from home because they have nice homes. The perverse outcome of Government Covid support has made the rich far far far richer while those on Parliament’s lawns have suffered.

The sanctification of Parliament’s lawns is an important myth that must now be fetishised to justify heavy handed police action.

Watching middle class Wellington Marxists cheer the State to smash smelly lumpenproletariat reminds us how far the NZ Left have drifted intellectually and philosophically. The arguments I’m hearing from the Left about how underserving these protestors were are the exact same arguments the Right have used previously.

I have no truck with these protestors, but I support their right to protest and have argued since day one that if we played into the hands of the extremists we would use heavy handed police force which would become a propaganda coup for the far right. I have called for the Government to de-escalate this BECAUSE there were so many bad faith actors here ready to manipulate any misstep we made.

Of course the protestors were violent – we spent 3 weeks winding them up and then call their reaction a hate crime.

Right now the SIS, GCSB & Police are all pushing for new state powers to deal with all the Nazis!

That will be the true legacy of this madness.

We must now hunt down all the Dumb Lives Matter Nazis because Middle Class Marxists were frightened and are feeling righteous – where are the far right Hare Krishna death squads with their vegan food truck of suffering?

Arrest them first!

If we are going to crucify everyone the Wellington Middle Class Marxists accuse of being a Nazi, we are going to need a lot more nails and wood.

Ironically this vast amount of nails and wood the woke want to use for crucifying all the Nazis, would build enough homes to house the 25 000 waiting for emergency housing.

Oh we have to laugh don’t we?

Let me spell it out.

All. We. Have. Done. By. Using. The. Heavy. Hand. Of. The. State. Rather. Than. De-escalate. This. Is. Recruit. 10000. New. Stormtroopers. For. The. Far. Right!

Well done Trev.

  1. The fact that zero politicans would meet with these people, when 30% of the public supported the protests intentions (at the start) shows how out of touch our media and politicans are. Media and politicans need to get off Twitter!

    • Winston NZF met with the Dumb Lives Matter Movement, however that was more a photo opportunity, and an opportunity to discuss mandates with his support base, most of his supporters have died or are in Rest Homes around the country.

  2. One very silly man should never have had the authority to exacerbate tensions in the way that Trevor Mallard did, leaving the police on the receiving end while he watched safely from a balcony like some perverted little voyeur. Complaints are pouring in to the IPCA about the police, but there seems to be no body to complain to about Mallard, except Mallard, or the PM, and if they endorse his actions by ignoring them, then both must go.
It’s not just Wellingtonians who think that Mallard is a taxpayer-paid hoon whose behaviour could cause more social damage than the demonstrators, or that he even cares about. Replanting trees is the easy part.

  3. Trevor acted no differently than any property owner or building manager of which is his role.
If that mob were on your front lawn dont tell me you wouldnt be trying anything to get them off including calling the cops and hoping they forcefully removed them.

    • Jack the irony is that for four years this govt has refused to evict anti social abusive tenants from social housing. Meaning the poor who have no options have had to put up with the likes of the anti social tenants on the front lawn day and night.

Trev is not a protest manager. He is the leader of the House of Representatives. Even the police spoke up against his tactics.

And Trev could go home at night

      • Anker. “ Even the police spoke up against his antics.” Worse than that, when the police asked Trevor to turn the water sprinklers off, he refused to. Dunno why a guy calls the cops then over-rides them – perhaps being a duck has gotten inside his little Johnsonville- or wherever he paddled in from – head and he has an unusual relationship with water. He laughed about the protestors having water coming from above and below and he must have thought himself funny.

        • I would have been laughing my arse off as well, however not appropriate behaviour for the Speaker of the house.

    • Jack. “ Trevor acted no differently than any property manager… “ Unfortunately Trevor did. He called the police, and then he, Trevor Mallard, ignored police requests. He also broke WCC water restrictions and noise regulations because he’s too big for his boots.

  4. “One very silly man ?”, that is not a particularly nice thing to say about Trevor, what you need to understand is Trevor is an ex School Teacher and has very little experience in the Real World, he would of seen it as a schoolboy prank and would be laughing his head off. So would I if I was turning the taps on in Wellington.

    • School teacher eh ? That explains why he hates kids and turned the sprinklers on against them and sent out an sos for bad music to torment them with around the clock.

  5. Everything you say Martyn may be right to some degree. BUT the protesters started, in he first few days, ripping off masks and throwing things at and insulting passersby. They clogged up the city roads and interfered with and closed many city functions. That all was surely a matter of lawlessness that was not addressed by the police.
We can’t just let some people get away with mob intimidation. It wasn’t a peaceful protest and people who broke the law should have been arrested.
Ask yourself how you would feel if they did all that right next door to where you live? Why should anyone put up with it?
What are the police for? Many of us now don’t even bother to call the police when our property is broken into and stuff is stolen. Because we know the police are so tied up with priority social issues like drugs and mental health meltdowns they can’t do everything.
I applaud the police for their final resolution. No one was killed so that must be a lucky win.
The elephant in the room is why it happened and what will be done about it. Hate speech laws and ethno issues will cause more angst and I predict several more protests this year but not by the same rabble. Dear Leader couldn’t even appear in front of them and seems more worried about restoring the lawn than restoring harmony in our poor divided and declining country. She is not governing for all New Zealanders, so what is she doing? She needs to go and the sooner the better.

    • Magit as I mentioned earlier state housing tenants have had to put up with worse behaviour, day and night from the anti social tenants the govt won’t evict.

  6. Middle Class Marxists? Becoming a favourite expression of yours Martyn?

I know quite a few of the people I think you’re talking about, and even though most would like to think of themselves as left-wing, I see them as progressive neoliberals. They have gender pronouns on their signature blocks, and maybe even a whakatauki. But they’re not interested in challenging the neoliberal structure of our institutions. Some of the younger ones aren’t even aware that AirNZ and NZ Rail (for example) used to run as public services, as opposed to SOE’s.

    Marxists, I think not.

  7. Michael Baker says covid decling in Auckland and the rest of country in 2 weeks. Mark the date 21/3.” covid will lstill around for many, many weeks” (2 x many) weeks. Covid tracers have already been laid off. Once the QR codes and covid yellow posters come down something quite miraculous will happen. Meanwhile the Beehive is all over Ukrainians like a rash and virtue signalling with Ukrainian art installation and flag raised in Solidarity. Why not Solidarity with the Uyghurs? Or Tibetans? Kiwis in the know, know exactly why that is

  8. Oh and Grant Robertson waited for one whole day after the protest round up to start talking hate-speech laws, better surveillance and monitoring online being enacted. Grant is in a big hurry! Also the parliament grounds have been/being fenced off. (I have not visited in a few days to read the room.) Yes indeed he is anticipating some hate speech and further attempts at entering parliament grounds from the team of 4 million
