Canterbury University mathematics professor, Michael Plank, said Sunday’s developments were concerning for the whole country. “The fact that the Waikato cases don’t have a clear link to the Auckland outbreak and have been infectious in the community for several days is concerning. 
“If the Auckland outbreak grows much larger, it will become even harder to prevent Covid spreading to other parts of New Zealand. The message is clear: Covid is here and it’s a matter of time before it spreads across the country.”

A level 4 lockdown for the whole country, starting now, with a full 1930s style nationwide mortgage and rent moratorium, until the virus stops ciruclating in the community is the only way that we can overcome lockdown caused hardship.
