  1. I predict that the Tuatara will win Bird of the Year 2022. You heard it here first.

  2. Very good Bomber, an accurate assessment of the year that woz…

But I hope you realise your selfie is incredibly triggering.

You appear to be dressed as a 19th Century ruling elite.

    You are white.

    You are male.

You have managed to manifest a clearly supercilious expression.

    …and then there’s that pipe!

It says I don’t care what you think, I’m gonna pollute the planet with smoke for my own personal pleasure. And the disturbingly phallic shape tells us all “fuck you”…

Please don’t change a single thing on it…

  3. I read this last night and Martyn wrote his great piece today. If your hesitant about what Martyn has written please read this –

    “The First Privilege Walk”

“How Herbert Marcuse’s widow used a Scientology-linked cult’s methodology to gamify Identity Politics and thus helped steer the U.S. Left down the dead-end path of identitarian psychobabble.”

    Great title, here link

    1. Great link, Ignatius:
“ Anyone who has ever been involved in political activism has to admit the truth of Sherover-Marcuse’s comments. The left, like the rest of the world, is full of poorly behaved, hostile, destructive, socially inept weirdos, many of whom are more bigoted than they realize.

Yet, at the same time the flaws of the left’s current pathologies were all there at the beginning. The scale of the intervention is fundamentally individual and psychological. Change hinges on a stereotypically middle-class concern with manners and etiquette; the diversity, equity, and inclusion training industry would call it “interpersonal interaction” and would invert the norms. Instead of children being seen and not heard they are taught to claim their space and find their voice. Yet in other ways the diversity training industry teaches lessons not much different from knowing which fork is for salad.”

  4. I’m not sure when you do your 2022 predictions, but it should include “The entire government Covid response narrative collapses”. You heard it here first.

  5. When a bat is Bird of the Year you could expect Judith Collins to be named as Politician of the Year. Then again in recognition of her arts, Collins maybe is Politician of the Year.

(I reckon since the bird award goes to flying things the early favourite for 2022 is the C-130H Hercules, a rare bird indeed.)

    1. Well Mahuta gets Maori politician of the year apparently for being a complete liar and defrauding councils and rate payers over 3 waters, so why not anoint Collins as some kind of inclusive peoples princess while we are at it.
Up is down, war is peace.

My favorite woke fuckwittery this year was the claim in media that pulse oximiters- which measure oxygen saturation in the blood -are racist because they are slightly less accurate when applied to dark skin.

        1. When is an opt out not an opt out?
When is “a few” councils against actually 60 out of 67?
When do none of the figures in the propaganda media campaign add up?
Which rock have you been living under?

          1. The one that has a big dictionary on it that includes the word “defraud.”

And an English textbook that has about tenses and implication.
Like implying someone has done something when they haven’t. The contention is that they’re going to do it in the future but there’s the suggestion they have already done it.

So who has Mahuta defrauded? When did she do that?

          2. She has said it’s going ahead regardless after initially saying councils could opt out.
Split hairs all you want, the lies have been pointed out all over the place, here’s one:
            https://www.democracyaction.org.nz/backlash_grows_against_3_waters_service_delivery_programme

“ The figures don’t stack up

Councils and the public are questioning the logic of the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) reports, including that the assumptions relied upon in support of the reforms in many respects lack credibility. Councillors are complaining of errors in the data, false and misleading information, mixed messaging, information gaps, and far too many unanswered questions. “
“ As part of the decision-making process, Whangarei District Council commissioned a report from global economic consultants Castalia on the Three Waters Reform proposals. The Castalia report discredits the underlying premise of the Government’s case for water reform. It debunks Government claims that amalgamating the water services into four big regional authorities would save money. These findings have confirmed the Council’s decision to provisionally opt-out of the reforms at this point.”

Obtaining financial benefit for government/iwi/who knows -as they won’t answer questions on ownership- by deception = fraud.

Although it’s clear you have a bad case of fingers in ears.

  6. And all this political shit was all we had to talk about because there were no concerts of rugby games or movies. I gained about 10kg from sitting around attempting to work from home and not have a complete mental breakdown. 2019 to 2021 have been the worst years of my life. Everything was fucked.

  7. Car of the Year, Bird of the Year, Thought of the Year has to be for Woman of the Year, Stella Morris.
