I’m not sure you really want to be reminding people about the Todd Muller Coup because it says terrible things about the National Party.
Combine all the false confidence of a tall man with middle management over achievement aspirations and the naked cowardice of backbench MPs who suddenly feared becoming unemployed and you had National Party values at their most self interested and traitorous.

In her speech on Wednesday she admitted that the leaks and scandals hammered National’s chances of being elected to power, particularly former National MP Denise Lee’s leaked email to Newshub during the campaign.
In the email leaked to Newshub, Lee criticised Collins’ plan to review Auckland Council as a “highly problematic idea”, and Collins now admits it overshadowed her housing policy announcement because the leak was all the media wanted to discuss.
“The destabilisation of this leak was a body blow to the National Party that we never recovered from.”
…can you believe this garbage? National crashed to one of their worst results ever because Denise Lee rightfully criticised Judith for making up bullshit policy on the hoof?
THAT was the body blow was it Judith?
Not the multitude of crazy shit National MPs were collectively doing on top of the Coup, on top of the meaningless policy and on top of Judith own appalling leadership?
The National Party campaign was an arrogant, bloated train wreck that EVERYONE is responsible for. New Zealanders saw National care more about their rich mates in the economy than the actual people, and once you see that, you can’t unseen it, trying to blame it all on Denise Lee rightfully smacking down Judith as the reason it all went to pieces suggests that Nationals till have no idea why they lost.

And they never will… Those people are far too self absorbed to ever see the reality of what they did to their own people, and the lasting political damage that John Key inflicted upon on NZ on behalf of his countrymen in the USA, and the economic sabotage on behalf of the Chinese communist party… The truly horrific aspect of the nats selling NZ out to both superpowers is that the farming sector, and speculator class were fully complicit with selling their own society into wage slavery, and poverty… No surprises then that there isn’t even the beginning of any real soul searching within the nationalist clique… One has to have a soul before it can be found… The love of money and power is no substitute for real leadership… But don’t tell the nationalists.. That would be putting your head in a noose…

I would add and too self-entitled as are their supporters amongst whom you never see younger people. Just older white arrogant, ignorant self-entitled and selfish individuals who have never experienced poverty or the harshness of life.
