Let’s thank Mike Hosking for helping the Māori Party re-enter Parliament

There was so much that happened during the election, one beautiful gem was lost in the political maul.

Earlier this year, Māori Party co-Leader John Tamihere won a defamation case against Mike Hosking, and hilariously John donated the winnings to the Māori Party…

Newstalk ZB payout to fund Māori Party election campaign

A settlement payout over defamatory claims Mike Hosking made on air about John Tamihere will help fund the Māori Party’s election campaign.

Newstalk ZB has apologised over comments Hosking made implying the Māori Party co-leader had personally benefited from Whānau Ora funding, which was not the case.

Hosking apologised on the air this morning.

…so Mike’s defamation costs helped fund the Māori Party and the Māori Party managed to re-enter Parliament (specials pending of course).

Reparations from the white cis male patriarchy never tasted so sweet.

  1. My biggest regret on election night was not seeing a face photo of NZ’s biggest narcissist when results came in. The despised enemy could Govern alone despite his best ongoing efforts to run interference on behalf of his beloved National Party who were sent to the nearest toxic landfill where they could all spout off what a brilliant job Chucky had done leading the latrine rodents. Thanks Maserati Mike. Your hair and trendy ripped jeans turned enough people cold to make a difference. What your net missed was caught by your nauseating wife who has NZ reaching for a sick bag the very moment she slides out from under her rock.

Thank you tag teams Hoskings & Hawkesby….Garner & Richardson….Soper & HDPA. Your considerable efforts were appreciated.

      • Thats National’s narrative: “if it wasn’t for Covid Jacinda wouldn’t have won”…. once again its a not so subtle put down of our PM and will live on in the chapters of murky blue political history.

      • Kheala
Does that imply that with his change of diet, he will be spouting shit of a different colour.

I suspect it will still be unplatable to most but a few will still gobble with glee.

      • So he’ll maybe get the shits, instead of giving them.
        Couldn’t have happened to a better right-winger.

Maybe Hoskings’ defamation case will make a few more right-wingers go vegan and stop eating red meat and frothing against the left, the Maori, Jacinda and poor people.

The defamation case must have scared the bejesus out of Garner and a lot of other right-wingers unwilling to fund the Maori, the Greens and the Left.

The problem with dirty politics is that it can become very expensive, just ask Merv and Michelle and Todd and Hamish.

And Gerry Brownlee remains, in spite of all the rumours?

      • Kheala,

Garner has two Gods. The National Party and his Breakfast TV show.

For the last three years he has relentlessly misrepresented and ridiculed Ardern. He encouraged his show to be an anti Ardern platform. The fact his co-host sees himself as a future National Party Prime Minister speaks volumes. Now the election is over. He has proven just what a complete knob jockey he truly is and how out of step he is with the majority of New Zealanders. That can’t be good for ratings.

Nek minute. He allegedly understands now why the most of NZ respects Ardern. I call bullshit on that. It’s the epitome of self interest. It’s now at the point most people couldn’t possibly care less what Hoskings, Garner, Richardson, HDPA etc say or think.

They incessantly did their very best to disrespect and manipulate our democracy via their own bias and completely failed. NZ needs them like they need a nose amputation.

      • We also shouldn’t lose sight of the complete setup teed up between Judith Collins and Duncan Garner regarding Iain Lees-Galloway on Garners breakfast show.

Collins stated she revealed the information to Garner because, in his questioning about Falloon, he asked her if she had received anything about Labour ministers or MPs, and Collins didn’t want to lie. Anyone who thinks Garners question about Labour Ministers or MP’s was a coincidence also believes in Unicorns and the Tooth Fairy.

    • You know, Mad Mike should put his mouth where his money is and run for ACT. David’s time as Leader of ACT is limited, and Mike the Mouth would be a great replacement. There are rumours that David has been approached to form a coalition with National before the next election. Then the voters would know what coalition would be in place after the election before voters go to the polls in 2023.

Sounds like a plan. Garner, Hoskings, Paul Henry for ACT, Luxon for Leader of the Opposition, with Michael Wodehouse as deputy. Labour will be on opposition in 2023.
