  1. Some topics with your coffee

‘PM to consult with victims of Christchurch mass shooting before making any decision on transfer of Tarrant to Australia to serve his sentence’
On RNZ this morning Ardern said the victims ‘carry the grief and carry the injuries’, so their input is paramount to prisoner transfers to other countries. No one denies the impact on the communities involved in this horrendous act but this is obvious political posturing. As many people are murdered in this country every year as in the Chch shooting and hundreds of thousands are victims of crime, so everyone should have a stake in our democracy and laws not just one group (in accordance with the Treaty). All NZers should determine the country’s direction, ‘We are one’.

‘Beneficiaries should be happy with their lot’
In the Herald this morning Max Rashbrooke was reported as saying trickle down is a viable option for low income groups, his thesis being that giving more to middle class citizens in the two-tiered welfare system would allow ‘more political room to increase payments to genuinely poor households’. Huh, you mean the political room which compelled the government to implement only a couple of welfare changes from the dozens recommended from advisors? He continued (paraphrasing): ‘If you give more to the upper classes then they won’t resent the lower classes and kick up a fuss’. All welfare recipients are equal, but some are more equal than others.

    ‘Russian vaccine can’t be trusted’
Another day, another morning breakfast show, another expert. I can’t even be bothered to confirm his details after his appearance on the telly this morning, but really verification of anything these days seems irrelevant. This doctor’s premise was that the commie vaccine couldn’t be valid or trusted because extensive clinical trials on many subjects over time hadn’t been performed on it. You know, like those extensive investigations into this Coronavirus strain on it’s effect and threat, before the world was thrown immediately into shackles and any pushback was deemed unneccessary, unpatriotic or the work of a conspiracy theorist

  2. The push to machine control of us with authoritarian culture goes on apace while we get distracted by conflicting comments.

I was talking to a Maori woman busy supporting other citizens and concerned about matters affecting us all in NZ. She mentioned drones and something about Russian ones. I am concerned about 5G and how it will be faster and better and such, and the question arises why do we need faster than we have, especially when it is going to make control of us, and our own personal living systems so much easier for others. We are making ourselves so dependent on machines, everything channelled through our computers so we are dependent on electricity, or complicated gear to provide energy like batteries, solar panels etc. Being paperless is the mantra, yet we need trees and paper for instantly visible records, (toilet paper as well).

What is going on; we are in a wave of culture that is increasing in speed and intensity? Speech is becoming faster, frenetic, there is no time for reflection; thought and planning doesn’t allow for the disasters that are increasing in likelihood. And ordinary people have no answers, for questions that aren’t being raised though trembling at the back of people’s minds; but is there time to speak these questions, and who would be listening? If a person cries out for help in a mindless world, does that person make a sound?

    • THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN OUT COVID 19 FROM NZ.
WE HOPE GOVERNMENT IS WATCHING THIS.

CEAC Calls Govt’ To Test, Test Test, Again On Fighting COVID 19 Outbreak
      Monday, 31 August 2020, 10:41 am
Press Release: Citizens Environmental Advocacy Centre
Back in March 17th 2020 – WHO (world health Organisation) warned the global community test, test, test, everyone suspected of COVID 19 virus infections, today our senior epidemiologist James Baker advised his caution again, and we agree to go careful slowly and use mandatory face masks everywhere now to lower the spread, before opening up the whole country without all controls and to test multiple times not just once or twice.
James Baker has warned us as several others have that some infections of Covid 19 are reaching the other parts of the body, such as the lungs rather than remaining in the throat, so he confirms that multiple sampling for the virus is advised if any symptoms are returning of an infections have yet to complete full testing of anyone in very close contact with the public.
We at CEAC call for Ministry of Health to test, test, test as was advised back on March 17th as low figures were only done to date.
Wuhan (where the virus came from) is a city of 11 million and finally was mass tested of all citizens over 10 days to stamp out the virus and finally now last week they celebrated a virus free city again.
“Kiwi’s can do this” can’t we?.
      https://www.gistreel.com/wuhan-china-throws-massive-pool-party-to-celebrate-3-months-of-no-new-covid-19-cases-photos-video/
Media is awash with suggestions we all open up the economy now but; CEAC say’s let’s do the whole job properly by testing the whole population as Wuhan did to rid the virus.
So until this is done we will again spread this COVID 19 virus if we wrongly just open up the economy and our borders and the regions.
Until Government complete the clear directions from the World Health Organisation recommendations to test, test, test, to fight COVID 19 with all the controls we need to isolate any spreading of the COVID 19 virus by anyone not yet tested for the infection, we will kill our last chance to win the fight, and we will all suffer and flounder.
Simple isn’t it, when we do testing of all citizens and travellers we will have control over this virus.
      • We again ask Government to begin testing all the active citizens in our community firstly to see where this COVID 19 virus is hiding by the use two separate test procedures; recommended as the gold standard.
      • As CEAC has said before; the test statistics must now be incorporated with the current ‘swab test’ and now with – “the antibody test (also called a serology test.) which confirm all who developed immunity to Covid 19 before the virus leads to death.
We at CEAC have been for many months requesting NZ Ministry of Health expand our COVID 19 testing to all citizens, and this includes all rest home workers and residents, to capture all these lost statistics in our pandemic, but the Ministry is so far not planning to include rest home workers to align us to the UK model of data collection.
      FACTS:
      • Elderly are now most venerable and are dying in NZ now without being diagnosed if, they previously had or still have Covid 19 that is the cause of death by using two testing protocols explained below.
      • UK are claiming that early diagnosis and treatment give patients a better chance of survival.
      • So clearly we not finding all the complete more accurate data and are running without adequate accurate data on this Covid 19 pandemic to save lives.
      • As CEAC has said before; the statistics must incorporate with the current ‘swab test’- “the antibody test (also called a serology test.) which confirm all who developed immunity to Covid 19 before death.
      WHY?
      • We need to know who has actually developed immunity to the virus.
      • We do not have these tools at present in the test protocol
      • NZ Ministry of health is using only the nasal or throat swab test, which can ‘migrate’ from the nasal or throat in a few days we are being advised.
      • The current ‘nasal throat Swab’ coronavirus test look for the virus’ genetic material in a sample of mucus, which is usually collected by a nasal or throat swab administered by a health care worker. and only diagnose a current infection.
      • Whereas the antibody test (also called a serology test.) finds who develops immunity to Covid 19.
      • It signifies that the person has been exposed to the virus long enough that their immune system has been responding to it- which is the real gold standard now being used.
      • Ministry of Health must incorporate with the current ‘swab test’- “the antibody test (also called a serology test.) which confirm all who develop immunity to Covid 19, to save citizens lives and avoid false negative throat nasal swab tests.
      • Conduct full Covid 19 testing of all our citizens firstly and complete a full assessment of solid robust controlled ‘track & tracing’ of the Covid 19.
      • We must have mass testing of all our whole community firstly to have a solid ‘robust tracing process’ to fight Covid 19.
Do this right. – We are all in this together.

Thank you for your attention; – we ask for your action to this issue of citizens concerns.

    • Like sands through the looking glass @ Grey, these are the days of our lives.
We’re actually privileged in ‘lil ‘ole NuZull that punches above its weight – we still get to decide AND we’ll get what we deserve, and we’ve got(ten) what we deserve(d) – so far at least.
As far as tikknowledge goes, we can drive it, or we can let it drive us. We can decide what we want from it to get to where we want and need to be, or we can let it decide for us (sometimes, and increasingly – on its own terms).
But …… yea/nah …… I’m not doing too badly – in case you’re interested – all things considered and I’ve set myself up with my own set of idols derived from social media (in this space, going forward).
The only thing I think I might be missing is my 15 minutes of fame. So I’m thinking …….. ultimately …… I should probably hire myself a media consultant – a self-appointed expert one – could even be one that was made redundant a while back as an average enough autocue reader, dressed in drag as a journalist (not Wendy, as in of Peter Pan and Wendy fame).
Decisions decisions! I think I might stake the house on it.
Alternatively, I’m thinking I might put my entire worldly goods investing in the Healy where I expect all the necessities of life can be delivered over the 5G network via vibrations of a very very very secret and particular (Colonel Sanders type recipe) wavelength.

As you can see, I’m busy “pivoting”. It’s a bloody hard life just staying awake

      • OwT You are a treasure chest of partly digested information and fantasy and common-sense and so on. I would rather listen to you than Donald Trump who makes up a lot and pretends that it’s fact. Do you know you can get a little nodding figure of him that runs off a solar cell? Put that in the window, to set your mind racing.

        • Yep …. my grandson has one of those little nodders upstairs sitting on the windowsill. I think its actually far more intelligent than a Trump too.

          • This came to me this morning – I bet it’s been used by a hundred people already. But a good caption for an image of Trump alighting from a plane would be ‘The Ego Has Landed’.

  3. Mataura. I still have a carton that contained photocopy paper made at their mill. Of course the Brave New Economics of LNZ (Less NZ) finished that enterprise. Now it stores dross ouvrea left from making aluminium and a big problem. I bet there is nothing green that anyone can do with it. And there was a fire near it, recently a flood near it, and as a spokesperson said – it’s almost a biblical curse having it – possibly soon it will be struck by lightning. Meanwhile the government is trying to preserve a semblance of an economy and is thinking of cutting electricity costs – if they do they had better have in writing – in blood if necessary – that the company is going to move this dross to a location outside NZ, preferably to a remediation facility in a country that handles that stuff, say the USA desert. And that cannot be contracted out, must be done by Rio Tinto directly, and if they are not keen they have to pay a fine for not complying with the original agreement. And the fine won’t be enough by a quarter, but will enable us to work out what could be done to change the stuff into something that won’t turn into ammonia or the like. Or perhaps bits of it could be found round the mansions of the high financiers who take their duty to the environment and citizens on their sites lightly.

  4. Watch this, don’t watch this. Terry Opines on – New Conservative’s Elliot Ikilei has real charisma: https://youtu.be/V0BkmegZi7U

No one should ignore Elliot. Somebody has to say, Elliot is accountable to the public which is a principle democratic function. So he’s blocked himself but that doesn’t mean nothing should be done about him.

I was on the side of the protesters but after listening to Elliot it is necessary to institute harsh lockdowns on him and his followers under the guise of corona without prejudice. No one will agitate as Hitler once agitated in the middle of Auckland city unmolested. That much is obvious.

Watch it, make up your own mind.
