Ok, so Boag has resigned from her position as Nikki Kaye’s campaign manager and Hamish Walker has quit as well, but we are getting details now of how he attempted to keep this all secret and the audacity is just jaw dropping…
Walker tried to stop Muller from publicly outing him as the leaker citing privacy concerns.
Walker admitted to Muller on Monday midday he was behind the private details of active Covid-19 cases being leaked to media, sparking a Government inquiry.
Muller told the Clutha-Southland MP he needed to own up publicly.
It’s understood later that afternoon – after the Government announced the inquiry – Muller received a legal letter on Walker’s behalf.
It asked the National Party leadership not to out Walker citing concerns about his privacy.
…what the living breathing resurrected Christ?
Walker had taken private personal privileged information from the former President of the National Party, leaked it to the media and then when caught attempted to claim to Muller that his own privacy needed to be protected?
Sweet Zombie Jesus, the audacity of these National Party cretins is just extraordinary!
Honestly – how many times do you wake up each morning in New Zealand genuinely grateful that Labour are in power during this pandemic and not National?
Every!
Single!
Damned!
Day!
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice going into this pandemic and 2020 election – please donate here.
If you can’t contribute but want to help, please always feel free to share our blogs on social media.

I guess National party voters and their politicians obviously think they are ‘owed privilege’ like a Victorian landowner in the ’18th century British aristocracy’ .
National people try to enforce privacy only for internal coverups, General opportunism and dodgy business deals!
Mr (whites only!) Walker is of the even more arrogant Nat new breed of shameless Trumpesque types.
I hope the inquiry keeps on trucking till other linked Nat MPs and staff are exposed. And I hope many more New Zealanders start giving one about NZ National Party Dirty Tricks.
I am genuinely grateful the current Government is in power full-stop although the pandemic illustrates how good they are.
I remember some time back a totally forgettable individual in one of his typically negative and toxic attacking responses to a post said that Jacinda was USELESS (that’s how he wrote it). Apart from being such a sad-sack response I hope he now realises that his beloved National party is USELESS because all they can do is use dirty under-hand politics to attack the Government yet outwardly claim, over and over and over again that the Government’s response to the the pandemic has been a “shambles” or “shambolic” – I’ve lost count of the number of times Muller has used these words.
Any party that uses dirty politics to increase its own standing, as the National party is doing, obviously does not have strong policies or the attributes of being a strong government.
Security at the Covid holding pens (i.e. 5 star hotels) is still a gong show. How a person in quaratine can escape through a back fence while having a smoke is beyond me – where was the security? As Victoria shows you only need one super spreader and she is all on for love and money. Also it appears some negative test subjects are positive in Victoria. Coupled with the lack of testing that has been undertaken over the past 45 days hence Chippie is nervous. In short Bomber I wouldn’t be so smug yet.
As for National – what a bunch of mental midgets. They are beginning to demonstrate comparative incompetence with Kelvin Davis………..At this juncture i’ll be forced to place my vote with the NZ Hunters and Fishers Party (i.e. ACT)
The quarantine facilities are not prisons, the people in them are not prisoners, and the staff running them are not jailers . No one who is responsible for the people in quarantine has the authority to hold anyone prisoner. It all depends on co – operation and good will. And if an individual chooses to ignore what the rest of society is trying to achieve there are no laws in place to force them to do so. So the opportunity exists for a rabid opposition supporter to defy the system of co operation purely to sabotage the government’s attempts to deal with this unprecedented situation . I think this may be happening.

My Apologies ! It does seem there is an appropriate law in place now.

Back on topic though…Herman,
“It asked the National Party leadership not to out Walker citing concerns about his privacy.”
Herman, why was Walker concerned about his privacy when he was more than happy to divulge others?
Todd Barclay, Hamish Walker,(‘Do you know who I am?’ – Aaron Gilmore”) Kelvin Davis is streets ahead of those muppets, in fact without naming many more Nat MP’s I’d say they are an absolute shambles.
They did wrong. They were removed quickly ( a couple of days).
Now think how long did it take Labour to remove(if they ever did) party members/MPs in similar situations?
Get your calendars out 🙂 haha
Its the nature of politicians, like cops. To have bad apples!!!!
The measure of responsibility is how quickly they get dealt with
Well said!
When Machiavellia Michelle, hands over the information about who sent her the list, then we’ll see who’s ‘really responsible’ Roy and Gary.
Otherwise Boag and Walker are just the sacrificial mutton and the sacrificial lamb on the altar of National Party dirty politics and power. Todd Muller is reactive, and probably not responsible for the leak to Michelle, otherwise he wouldn’t have been so quick to give Walker the flick, then get Nikki to show Michelle the exit door.
Who sent Boag the list?
Do you know who sent her the list Roy?
Do you know who sent her the list Gary?
Otherwise you are both just Waldorf and Statler in the balconies of the Muppet Show. You are happy to blame the monkeys for the problems on the Muppets’ National Party political stage, rather than laying blame clearly at the feet of the organ- grinders. The organ-grinders are either on the political stage, behind the curtains, in the wings, or hiding in the sewers below the theatre and corridors of power.
Only an hour to go to One Network News Roy and Gary, then we will see who sent Michelle the email to her private email account.
And as Judge Judy often says “You don’t need a good memory, if you tell the truth!” She is a Republican, but she does come out with a few gems of wisdom from time to time.
Today’s flustercluckery, might mean that Jami-Lee Ross might even move back up the list again and be in Sole Charge of getting rid of corruption in the National Party.
Hoskings will definitely need therapy after today’s flustercluckery at Natz HQ. “Happy Days for some”, but only if they come clean about who sent Machiavellia the list?
Well said Diane. I’ts school holidays so Hosking is off air. I’d suggest this will be followed by 2 or 3 weeks of sick leave.
Thanks Bert. My partner listens to RNZ on his way home from late shift and every time I get in the car to go for my beach walk, Hoskings’ whining assaults my earholes for about 2.32 seconds, the time it takes me to hit the volume/off button.
Tomorrow’s drive to the beach will be way more pleasant for me and all New Zealanders. Hoskings’s Holiday, will give me and other Kiwis with a sense of aroha and social responsibility, a Holiday from Hoskings Hate-the-poor rants every day.
I read Orwell’s 1984 when I was younger, and Hoskings’ rants remind me so much of Big Brother’s Hate Speech and Hate Week.
Jeremy Wells’ “Like Mike” broadcasts, help me unwind the 2.32 seconds of Hateful Hoskings, Jeremy
really rips the “H-H” dandy a new one, and my special favourite was:

Haha brilliant and Jeremy Wells is hilarious.
What do you actually mean Gary? Like @Roy Edwards, Muller, Walker and Boag you downplay this dreadful guttersnipe criminal behaviour and in doing so you justify it. I wonder what your attitude would be if your privacy was breached. I have no doubt you would be screaming your protestations from the tree-tops so all the world could hear you.
So, with reference back to your stupid comment in support of the tiresome Roy Edwards and to the question I have just asked you, what would your response be if the response to you for the breach of your privacy was that the person who breached it had simply made an error of judgment and had resigned. My guess is that you would not accept that and you would demand other heads to roll.
Roy you have completely missed the point. By saying they did “wrong” you downplay what Walker and Boag actually did and it was low-down scum politics. You suggest that now that Walker has been removed “quickly” that it is business as usual for the National Party. Well its not. They have revealed the depths they are happy to plunge to, to undermine the opposition.
Anyway your analogy of “bad apples” and “cops” doesn’t make sense because in the first part of your response you slam the Labour led Government yet you then go on to suggest through your analogy that they are actually good.
@youngsuffrajet, I agree with your reference to the forgettable responder with his typically negative and toxic response in calling Jacinda “USELESS”. I read that too and I remember the name. It was a person named Gary who is most likely the same Gary supporting Roy Edwards. No surprises there.
“The measure of responsibility is how quickly they get dealt with”
Wrong, wrong, wrong!
The measure of responsibility is on the actual event. Lying about a meeting(Curran), underachieving Minister( Clark) and then Boag and Walker(potential criminal activity).
I’d suggest potential criminal activity trumps all. Boag and Walker should have been sacked!
Same sense of dirty politics entitlement from Hamish Walker, as Aaron Gilmore had in 2013. Both flusterclucked and both were fired, by John Key in 2013, then Sir John Key in 2020.
Aaron Gilmore “Don’t you know who I am?”
The voters Aren’t you Gone by Lunchtime?
Hamish Walker “I don’t want anyone to know who I am!”
The voters Aren’t you Gone by Lunchtime yet?
It’s moments like these you need mentors. eh Todd?
RNZ being run by the (national party) is still crying out “Not much to see here” as a good little National Shepard – stool pigeons”
Why have national got hold of our public funded media????? unbelievable.
Michelle Boag, Hamish Walker and the entire NZ National Party have alot to be held accountable for.
Michelle Boag mis-used resources i.e had a Rescue Helicopter fly from Mechanics’ Bay to Waiheke Island and then onto the Auckland International Airport because Boag had left her ‘passport’ on the Island. The cost of that flight was $4000.00. I am now wondering if Boag paid that or if she made the payment as a donation so as to claim it back in tax later.
Boag also deliberately breached the right to privacy of Covid-19 patients. She knew she was doing wrong but showed not an iota of humanity or conscience. She cared ONLY for National gaining some political brownie points. Her short-sightedness is a bad reflection back upon National and so on her head be it(whatever Muller and National decide). If National gives her a mere slap on the hand with a wet bus ticket then it’s likely she will not have learnt a lesson from it all and will embarrass National again later on down the track. I am sure she has embarrassed the previous National government in the past i.e about 2011 or so.
Walker is an opportunistic self-server. He is a reflection of what the NZ National Party and its MPs are truly like. Walker claimed the leaking of the information to the media of the COVID-19 patients was to prove he isn’t racist. Sorry but I cannot fathom the logic of that feeble excuse. His reasoning just doesn’t hold any substance to me.
Walker deemed himself a Big Fish in a Little Pond. But, like Boag, he is a reflection of what is bad about the NZ National Party and its MPs.
Both Boag and Walker didn’t give a stuff about the right to privacy of the COVID-19 patients. In fact they showed their true selfishness by making the private records public.
The General Election is not too far away and whilst National resorts to dirty politics I am hoping their actions will catch up on them at the voting booths around the country. I am sure NZers cannot stand this sort of behaviour from those elected to serve them.
My tolerance of National and its supporters is non-existent now. I think alot of NZers are feeling this way. We are fed up with the petty nasty behaviour of elected members of society who hold the right to privacy of those in their electorates with utter contempt.
