TWITTER WATCH: Rightwing National Party Stormtrooper manages to find a new low in attacking Jacinda

One second National Party Stormtroopers are crying crocodile tears about alleged abuse against women, and then the next second they are right back on track with their Misogyny narrative…

…when you see this level of malicious venom it’s difficult to view any of National’s current criticism as anything more than opportunistic point scoring against Jacinda.

This whole thing is starting to look less like a fight for justice and more like a moralistic feeding frenzy based on allegations we don’t actually know happened or not.

    Sort of lightweight to what the left was doing to John key.
    Like sending president Mike to Australia to dig dirt on John key.
    Never seemed to find any dirt even after 9 years.

Seems the National troll farm are all over the daily blog and the standard as well as controlling the mainstream media narrative – worth taking note of the Mike Sabin, Jamie Lee-Ross situations, National’s internal culture review, Todd Barclay, John Key actually assaulting someone and getting her fired by the same media friends, not sure where to stop with Paula Bennett’s general malfeasance. NZ turns to Trumpism quicker and with greater passion than even the UK, we’ll end up joining the ranks of the autocratically controlled countries as soon as 2020 unless some actual FACTS emerge from this shemozzle.

  4. I don’t read misogyny here, maybe a bit shit to attack family but otherwise travel choices are fair game.
    She’s not beyond reproach because she babysat your kids Martyn.
    She has lied at least twice that I have seen (“we’ve made a great start” when suicides went up, “we have bought back 18 000 MSSAs “ when she has bought back 2500 and a lot of .22s and shotguns)

    • Keepcalm – Yep, Hamish is being a sanctimonious jerk here, but what it does mean is that PM Ardern now has to keep an eye on the optics. Anything that looks like self-indulgence emanating from her job will be leapt upon to try and drag her down.

      If I were her I would have foregone seeing the All Blacks playing abroad; Clark got the cops to break speed limits to see them, Key hung around them like a looney tune, and if PM Ardern makes them a pinnacle in her life too, then I did right in voting Green.

  6. Hamish Price … bit below the belt to nastily attack the PM’s family. If I remember correctly, when John Key was PM, wasn’t the order of the day “hands off his family”? Fair enough. Same respect please for Jacinda Ardern’s family too.

    Also as PM didn’t Key attend his son’s baseball games in the US, when he was expected to attend the funeral of a killed NZ serviceman? And I can guarantee if he was still PM, he would go the AB’s games in Tokyo now to show support, just as Jacinda will be doing.
