More oil exploration and less drug reform – If elected, Simon Bridges promises to take NZ backwards 40 years

Can Simon Bridges become anymore irrelevant?

Voting against cannabis reform when the rest of the developed world wants it, bringing back oil and gas exploration when the planet faces global warming climate change catastrophe, he’s like yesterdays man voting for yesterdays ideas.

Big oil love and the war on drugs – he’s like some time warp out of the 1970s.

If elected, Simon Bridges promises to take NZ backwards 40 years, the question is will Muddle Nu Zilind want his dead eyed vision just to plump their floundering house prices?

  1. Sounds about right. I thiught National said Bridges was the messiah. Full of ideas to revitalise and invigorate NZ. Hes had more than a year. Weve only had negativity and smears so far

  2. Nah! he can bugger of, he acts like someone who is in their 70s and he has no new ideas and he sounds like a scratched record

  3. Simon, bases his opinions on a fairy tale, what do you expect. Has some strange ideas on democracy, from Andrea Vance in Stuff on spying.
“What’s more, opposition leader Simon Bridges was at the helm of two of the departments – NZTA and MBIE – that were involved in unlawful spying on civil society. He must answer a key question: Did he purposely use the state to attack democratic civil society groups and MPs, or did he just fail to exercise proper oversight over these agencies.
How stupid can we be for him to retain any relevance.

  4. Why is anyone surprised that all the Colonial party has is smear and carping? They are the descendants of the colonials that were only interested in exploiting the land for profit, without a care for what was going to happen when the resources ran out after all.. Look at who supports them.. You couldn’t get a more unfit mob of thieves, and bludgers, who would tear each other to pieces if it wasn’t for the clarion call of wealth and privilege to bind them together, no matter how much they hate each other.. The party in wellington that represents this group are a pure reflection of this utter self interest to a sociopathic degree… They own the mainstream airwaves, and television networks, so are afforded blanket protection from scrutiny, and can count on any opposing views to be mercilessly undermined, and denigrated, which is eaten up by the land barons, racists, and those who consider their own path to wealth as more valid than whether NZ has a properly functioning democracy, or society… Those who fail under their rules are what prisons are for…

  5. The frightening thing is the number of ill-informed New Zealanders who are deaf, dumb, and blind to the complexities of drug abuse and anthropogenic climate change. For these people the science is simply too hard, too inconvenient, or too demanding of their limited attention.

They will continue to vote National and everything else be damned.

I hold greater hope for the younger generation once they discover voting.
