‘It’s certainly possible’: Privacy lawyer says potential for Simon Bridges to stop more phone recordings being released
A privacy lawyer says National Party leader Simon Bridges could file an injunction against Jami-Lee Ross amid more potential phone recordings.

Ross released audio of a telephone call he shared with Bridges on Wednesday, which he alleges proves Bridges committed electoral fraud.

Within the six-minute recording, Bridges and Ross discuss a $100,000 donation from Yikun Zhang and the fate and contribution of fellow National Party MP’s.

The rogue MP also said he has more recordings of conversations shared between the two which supposedly provide evidence of Bridges’ false electoral return.

Jesus wept – just heard what both sides have on the other in this National Party civil war – chances of a miscalculation with feelings this raw could lead to an all out nuclear strike against senior members of the Party – someone has to calm shit down or this will end National.

I’m all for beating my political enemies, but this could become genocidal sadism.

    • The problem is The National Party is facing a number of other social and economic problems on-top of not being able to convert the largest voting block into government benched. They grew debt, the kiwi dollar strengthened, immigration and education scam policies etc…, etc…,

      The US economy is far from perfect but it’s very strong right now, and it’s the only major economy that’s really doing well.

      China has won the African Continent development race and they’re well on there way to winning Asia. Capital control policies ect…, ect…,

      Europe, the UK and Japan all have their own economic problems so we won’t do calling back to the mother land for answers.

      Really it’s more that they’re afraid of woman in power than they are of the economy taking a spill. They aren’t supporting female oriented policies because of ideology, but because if they don’t follow the leader it’s political suicide.

    1. Fix you shitty blog so that people can comment and then actually read their comment.

    2. Don’t use brain cancer and meth to illustrate your scribblings. You are trivialising things which damage tens of thousands of Kiwis every single day.

    National have been venal scum for decades (the dirty politics saturated Key reign was a new low admittedly), and observing the malignant tumour that is Jami-Lee Ross inexorably metastasising is poetic justice of the first order. Anyone who has read Nicky Hager’s books (The Hollow Men, Dirty Politics) will be under no illusions in regard to how National play the game, and watching them hoist by their own petard as one of their enforcers goes rogue is like standing on Endor as the Death Star explodes. It’s exhilarating.

    We’ve endured nine long excruciating years of these self-serving, mealy-mouthed, disingenuous, born-to-rule arseholes plundering the nation on behalf of corporates, foreign investors, property speculators, the Chinese government and the affluent, and we’re supposed to feel sorry for them because they’re currently engaged in a particularly bloody episode of internecine warfare?

    Fuck them. They deserve everything they get. I hope National plummet into a fucking volcano and we never hear from them again. Ever.
