    Where will it hit?

Early on Friday there was a “huge” difference” in the predictions from different forecast models. Some showed Hola passing to the north of New Zealand and others showed it just skirting the northeast of the country, or just moving over it, Clark said.

Niwa principal scientist forecasting Chris Brandolino said forecast models had been having a “difference of opinion” about Cyclone Hola’s track, but the one model that had been showing it going further east, now showed it moving over New Zealand.

“So that gives me a bit more confidence,” he told The AM Show on Friday morning.

If it went to the west of New Zealand it would be more of a wind event, but if it stayed to the east there could perhaps be less wind and more rain.

  3. Just a question – does anybody know if the Public Servant FTE cap put on by the Nats is still up and running under the coalition?
