National try to play down small turn out for National Launch

Word has it 2500 chairs were put out, 3900 tickets issued, but less than 1200 turned up.

Journalists there noted that the buzz was nowhere near as intense as Labour’s launch last week. National need to look like they can match the energy of Jacinda or they will start to lose momentum with 5 weeks still to go.

  1. … ” National need to look like they can match the energy of Jacinda or they will start to lose momentum with 5 weeks still to go ” …

No they bloody well don’t , – the only place they need to go is to the Opposition benches, – and that is PRECISELY where they are headed.

And good bloody job and all.

Nine years of their sort of corruption , destruction and obstruction is more than enough , thank you very much Mr Bomber !

  2. Ha ha, no one wants to listen to boring Bingles and his slimy side show cretins. Oh dear, what a shame, never mind!

  3. Yea sorry Bill,I had a ticket and intended to go but went to see Jacinda’s mall walk instead.
Man what a vib,you don’t see that every day and it was free.

  4. Bill came into my daughters workplace several weeks ago as a “surprise visit” and my daughter was left as one of the staff to chat with Mr English and his local National Candidate here, but she told us that the candidate was nice but mr English totally lacked any character or presence, and seemed to be a very boring person.

I felt a little sorry to hear this and now since the election is in full view I can see how boring Bill really is.

Roll on september 23rd as we usher in a new labour lead government again!!!!!!!

  6. Out of interest I started watching Ms Bennett open the launch but after 60 seconds of her screeching to hardly any response I’d had enough. It was almost like the ‘roll up, roll up’ at the circus.
Thank goodness they’re on the way out. 3 more years of them destroying the country and looking so smug while they’re about it would be more than I could stomach.

  7. Room for a roller derby around those empty aisles. Doesn’t look like anybody was eager to mob the stage…with enthusiasm.
