Trump/Vader: 2020

I thought Trump actually won the first debate. I thought that because Hillary and the Democrats have thrown millions at painting Trump out as a Monster. The Trump who turned up at Debate 1 wasn’t a Monster, he was very laid back.

Anything less than a baby eating acid spitting Reptile would come across as bare bones acceptable to Republicans and Independents and Trump managed to do that.

Sure Trump is a racist, sexist, islamaphobic arsehole who would be a menace to the planet, but to those he has to win over, the working classes who have suffered from free market politics, his bigotry is his mark of authenticity with angry voters who have been ignored.

Pence beat Kaine convincingly in the VP debate and promised hard right Christians that if God intervenes and assassinates President Trump, then Pence is waiting in the wings.

The second debate however was a horrible win for Trump. Again, not because he was reasonable, not because he had any ideas but because he reflects their fury.

For those used to privilege, equal treatment feels like prejudice.

After holding an extraordinary press conference just before the second debate where Trump hosted questions from women who claimed to have been abused by Bill Clinton. The impact of such a move can be seen best on the faces of Bill and Chelsea…

screen-shot-2016-10-10-at-2-56-47-pm

… Trump made extraordinary claims about rape and Bill Clinton, and in a country where so many believe in Christianity – Trump’s crazy beliefs seem pretty middle of the road.

Trump bewilderingly claims he’s going to force the Judiciary to arrest Hillary, I can’t believe that we all witnessed Trump demand the powers of a God-King to smite his enemy.

He interrupted her, he stalked around the stage throwing Hillary off her game.

Alpha Trump turned up tonight and it’s terrifying watching Alpha Trump – his wilful ignorance is seen as a strength by his supporters, not a weakness.

The level of the debate from Trump is “I know you are, you said you are, but what am I”. The Americans Trump is trying to win are just listening for his tone, and his aggressive tone matches their anger and their expectations of how power is wielded.

Trump just inched closer to becoming President.

  1. AGREED TO ALL MARTYN.

AND TO ADD TO THAT WHEN THE CAT IS OT OF THE BAG THAT HILLARY WAS COMFORTABLE DISCUSSING PRIVATELY BEHIND SECRET MEETINGS HER WISH FOR OPEN BORDER WORLD WITH FREE TRADE!!!!!!
THIS IS A VERY BAD TASTE HERE, AS SHE HAS A VERY COSY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOLDMAN SACHS FOR GOD SAKE!!!!!!!!!

HOW CAN ANYONE RESPECT HER NOW AS SHE IS THE HIGH TEMPLE OF BILDERBERG POWESS LIKE BILL WAS AS THE US PRESIDENT WHO ATTENDED MORE BILDERBERG MEETINGS IN SECRET THAN ANY OTHER PRESIDENT; THEN SO WILL SHE DO IF SHE BECOMES PRESIDENT.

    • Thank God Sarandon has some common sense unlike most of the Hollywood “elite” dropkicks that support Hillary’s “war and business as usual” model.

We are all on the Titanic – this ship is going down. Personally I’m in the bar trying to order a final scotch on the rocks – actually, hold the ice – Hillary is walking around dousing the whole place in petrol and waving a lit match. Donald is ringing a guy he knows “about lifeboats”.

  2. Bradbury was flat out wrong about who won the first debate. At least this time it could go either way – personally I wouldn’t say for a couple of days yet. Until we see what the polls do and what grows from seeds planted by the participants it’s just impossible to say.

I did think that the way Trump; “stalked around the stage”, did nothing to dispel the sexual predator image that he has acquired. Also, the final exchange was all Clinton’s. Aand I particularly liked this reaction tweet referencing the first debate:

    “She doesn’t quit, she doesn’t give up, she’s a fighter.” Isn’t that called…stamina?

  3. Apart from the misogyny, which we will leave for other parties, Trump’s views seem to reflect ACT’s.
A strong approach towards immigration, lower business taxes, a fairer society for hard-working middle and lower incomes, a fairer society for ethnic immigrants and a hard-line approach to terrorism sums up ACT and the Republican nominee, Donald John Trump.

  4. If aliens were to at some stage land on earth and save mankind from itself, now would be as good a time as any.

    • Aliens are amongst us now Dave, you may be one along with Hillary if she wants to fight Russia as well as Syria?

  5. Good luck to the people of the U.S. if in this day and age they elect a man associated with the KKK let alone seeing women as his play things.

Anyone of his policies is also likely to bankrupt the U.S.

    • For all intents and purposes, the USA IS bankrupt, morally and financially – it’s just corruption that keeps it going……..

    • No one can bankrupt the USA because it is already bankrupt. In fact it has been living on borrowed time and borrowed money since the gold crisis of 1971.

David Walker, Chief Comptroller of the US Government Office of Accountability resigned in disgust in March 2008 when the politicians refused to address the unfunded liabilities he had repeatedly highlighted.

      http://fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/RL30349.pdf

Since then it has all got (been made) a lot worse.

I believe the current US deficit is something like $18 trillion, having doubled under Obama. Total unfunded liabilities cannot even be determined but are estimated to be in the hundreds of trillions. Hence the desperation of the gang that holds the reins to control the world by military methods -which began filing in 2008 and are now also failing miserably.

The collapse of the US is not far off.

    • The US is bankrupt fiscally, morally and intellectually. Run by a gang of thugs with the political judiciary on their side ready to imprison anyone who seeks to change things.

    • Bert it was the Democrats who supported KKK in the first place ,Republicans were against them , Trump didnt take anything.
Clinton took $10,000 from KKK in donation to her campaign, get your facts straight ,and dont believe everything Clinton spouts, she is not known for telling the truth

      • Oh Elle, easily lead. Listen to his tapes of the Apprentice( that should be enough evidence for you) where he uses the age old term Nigger. I have no time for Clinton but at least I’m neutral. The trouble with telling the truth is you end up with Trump. The man has no filter and I guess your support of him, supports the denigration of women.Tell me what Trump can offer as President other than pricking his own ego?

          • Iain

            don’t believe everything you read.

Or maybe go back and read a list of Trumps other promises.

You Iain have some reading to do:
And here is just a snippet

” He promised “thousands of jobs” and a big personal stake in his much-hyped Aberdeenshire golf resort in Scotland. It has lost money since opening in 2012, the promised jobs never came and he used other people’s money, not his own.

He purchased The Plaza Hotel in New York and promised “a complete showcase renovation.” It went bankrupt.

Trump, the self-claimed “great businessman” has been sued more than 3,500 times by small business owners who say he never paid what he owed for their work on projects.

USA Today found hundreds of dishwashers, painters, and even his own lawyers, who say they were never paid by Trump.”

            http://www.capitolhillblue.com/node/61689

And for the record Iain,THE MAN disgusts me, not his party.

            • bert;

              “don’t believe everything you read.”

              Yes, Certainly not from MSM.
The penny has just not dropped yet for you,has it.
Just one look you could tell that link was a hit piece.

Further, it is an election in which we have a candidate
that is against the Status Quo.
All stops are out to beat this man at all costs worldwide.

You asked Elle what he would offer as President.
I gave you an answer. I doubt you read any of the
              link on policy.

Your retort; “And for the record Iain,THE MAN disgusts me, not his party.” I think saiz it all.

You don’t even know the man yet reply implies your
opinion is formed by MSM. Hillary OK.
              She’s a bloody criminal enterprise.Wake up man!!

I will repeat myself one more time.
There NO truth in MSM anymore with only 6% of
              Americans trusting that source.

I just wish a few more Kiwi’s would do the same.

              Cheers.

Not to sure that Trump won the first debate. However he has gone for Hilary’s weak spot on women considering Bill Clinton’s behaviour and her attempts to coverup and demean those women. Where was the phrase “we believe the victims” back then. The other issue is the emails now coming out and the paid speeches to generous donors versus what she is saying now on the campaign trial.

  7. I found this debate a lot more interesting. He is quick with the comebacks. At the end of the day the people of the USA have a choice between a highly paid war mongering corporate tool or Donald Trump, what a choice!

  8. I watched the debate, it was nasty in the beginning, but later on the actual questions by those in the audience got it back to some kind of reasonable Q+A show.

Trump did not win, and I actually believe the CNN poll that gave Hillary the debate. Trump is using his last “trumps” now, dirty laundry against the Clintons, and some may stick, while most voters will in the end use their common sense and vote for the lesser of two evils, that is Hillary Clinton.

While I believe that Bill Clinton has stuff to worry about, we cannot blame his wife for all he did. Some say she covered him from accusations by persons he harassed or worse, but even that is just to be expected from a wife of a politician.

Donald has had a go and will lose, and given the person he is, he will shrug it off, blame others and move on with his business adventures of building large buildings and cashing in on it.

  9. Martyn you say Trump won – and in the blog above Chris T says HilLIARy won – to be honest I think we’re all going to lose on this one.

  10. When you hollow out a nation, till it’s nothing more than a shell of its former self, when all its ideals have been trampled, sold and betrayed, and when you have pandered to the lowest common denominator in the culture until there is no culture any longer to speak of…

this is what you get… two megalomaniacs slugging it out in the gutter.

The people of de Tocqueville’s America are no more. Whatever happens next will be equally terrifying whichever one wins. It doesn’t matter any more. What’s coming will come.

  11. If you weren’t so busy watching the GOGGLE BOX & this THEATRE of FRAUD , you’d be more aware of the implications for NZ….

That NZ is little less than a colony of USA, and Fraud there implies WE will have the SAME .
ie in the END , Elections are just a fraudulent distraction from the REALITY of NZ taken over /sovereign Rights DESTROYED by OUTSIDE POWERS.

  12. It’s a total travesty really. Hillary is going to win for the wrong reasons. If Trump had been half a decent human being he could have beaten that two faced lying warmonger.

  13. What we/they need is for someone like Bill Murray to put his hand up and say “I’m running for president. Vote for me.”
Let’s face it, he probably couldn’t do any worse!

  14. Martyn,

It hurts me to say it, but I think you’re right.

Trump scored some knock-out blows and Hillary’s attempts at smears didn’t really stick.

The “locker room talk” tape release was obviously timed for this debate, but I think it will do much damage because raising it gives Trump the opportunity to bring up the Clinton rapes. And that is DEFINITELY not where Hillary wants to go!

Trump managed to turn the debate into a discussion about the skeletons in the Clinton cupboard, and there is enough dirt in there to last a dozen debates.

I know Americans because I’ve worked there. The points he made will strike home to a wide swath of the American middleclass.

That said, I still think Hillary will win. Just because she dominates in the women/ethnic segments.
