Many respects to Nikki Kaye…

Nikki Kaye to take leave from Ministerial portfolios to undergo breast cancer treatment

Cabinet Minister Nikki Kaye has taken leave from her ministerial duties to undergo breast cancer treatment.

In a statement, Kaye said the news was “devastating”.

“On Friday I was told that I have breast cancer. It was devastating news for me and my family,” said the 36-year-old.

…I have only had an immensely respectful relationship with Nikki, she doesn’t take politics into a personal zone and she has served Auckland Central incredibly well. News of her diagnosis is a real shock.

Kia kaha Nikki.

    • I also wish Nikki well in her fight ahead also.

We hope both Nikki Kaye & Helen Kelly can both be given the best available medical facilities as well as state provision’s for the treatment focus availability of new cancer treatments now showing real promise.

We must allow both these ladies all our respect and admiration for their services to our communities.

      God speed.

  1. No matter your political leanings, no one deserves cancer. It’s a dreadful affliction, and I wish Nikki Kaye all the best.

  2. If Nikki Kaye is not able to stand in Auckland Central next year, who would National put up against Jacinda Ardern?

  3. … and to the people who love her. These are going to be very trying times. Cancer haunts the halls of ones mind. There’s no peace until the spectre of [it] passes.
