King Tuheitia’s words of discouragement towards the Labour Party and NZ First have shaken the corridors of power and re-ignited the political flame of an independent Maori voice in Parliament.

  1. Since when was the tory Maori party ever an “independent voice” for Maori?

This has nothing to do with being a voice for Maori; it’s about political expediency and self preservation. The Maori Party are down to just one seat, and that was bought by National’s cabinet club.

Andrew Little hasn’t even said he wouldn’t work with the Maori party, so where did that come from? Certain people telling porkies again to try and stay relevant?

Nact Tuku Morgan is behind this latest dirty play, because the tory Maori party are possibly facing political oblivion next year and need the credibility and the integrity of Hone Harawira to get back in favour with Maori after one betrayal after another.

But of course they can’t admit that, to do so would mean losing face and publicly rub up the Nats in the wrong way in the msm.. The Nats know, they did it themselves when they gutted Act for its own political ends, the Maori party are trying to do the same with Mana..

So, the Maori party is making out it’s Hone who needs them, when in reality, it’s the other way round, the Maori Party needs Hone Harawira. But here is their problem, the Maori party is married to National, til death does them apart, and the Maori party is refusing point blank to initiate divorce proceedings against the Nacts. Hone Harawira will NEVER compromise his principles and support a National party/government, and there lies the Maori party’s dilemma.

  2. On the contrary Quick thinking “The nats have done nothing for most Maori …” NACT have done lots for Maori.

Highest Maori jail occupancy under NACT; lowest Maori home ownership under NACT, most number of Maori kids in poverty under NACT; more Maori being kicked out of state houses sold off by NACT, more Maori people living in garages and their cars under NACT. Wait and see what TPPA brings to the table for Maori under NACT. You ain’t seen nothing yet.

While the Maori Party fiddle, or have their seats in Bellamys, Maori are rocketing backward into third world status.

Now with Tuku Morgan in charge, resplendent in his silk boxers, where to for Maori Party and Kingitanga? Where to for Maori under the NACT, Maori Party, United Future, ACT neoliberals and still Maori waiting for the wealth to trickle down?

The Maori King, endorsing one political party over another, shows Kingitanga is stuffed.

Time to dismantle the Maori Party and Kingitanga and align Maori back with any socially responsible political party or movement or that believes in tatau tatau and hau ora for all, not just the elite with their mansions and others with their silk boxer shorts.

  3. Her majesty the Queen would never come out in favour of one political party over another.

Something smells fishy with this deal. My namesake Mr Peters summed it up best when he said at: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11698866

“….King Tuheitia is being used by adviser Tukoroirangi Morgan to get involved in domestic party politics and he should remain neutral.

“It is disappointing the Maori King has been used in such a sad way,” the New Zealand First leader said.

“There is no way his predecessor, the Maori Queen, would ever have done that.”

She knew there were different views within the Kingitanga movement and she had to stay above the political ruck.”

Dirty politics again, Shane Jones and Wira Gardiner and now Tuku Morgan and the Kingiitanga movement.

I agree with Quick Thinking, nothing good has come out of Maori Party’s coalition with National, ACT and United Future for ordinary Maori .

And now Tuku Morgan, described as a “The thieving bastard” in 2012 on the erakablog site, the “BEST and NUMBER #1 site for Tainui info on the web” appears to be doing the National Party’s dirty politics work again.
