Just a comment about the ban imposed on pea growing in the Wairarapa.
It is an unfortunate decision to have to make, and probably very necessary but I can’t help thinking what if it had been a Labour led government that made such a decision?
The farming community would be in a total uproar, raving about left nutters are destroying the pea growing industry, how they always hate farmers and how they should have devised another plan.
A National led government makes this decision, and everyone swallows it with barely a murmur of objection.
No doubt the local National MP Alistair Scott will be applying his usual National cheerleader spin on this one.
