Call to Action – Men’s Hui

Although there are many great things about our country, we are one of the worst in the world at family violence, and we all have a responsibility to build a community free from violence. For too long, we have relied on our wahine to reduce violence, we need to step up and do something to make a change.
Men from all walks of life are invited to attend the hui which will focus on how men can take leadership in their own communities and nationally to reduce and prevent family violence in our whanau, our communities and our region. We all have something to offer.
This follows from a series of successful hui around the country supported by the It’s not OK Campaign.
There will be speakers from around the country who have lead violence prevention activities in their communities and nationally, and time for participants to brainstorm how they can lead activities to stop family violence in their own communities.
We will cover your registration, accommodation and food costs, and will be able to support your transportation costs, thanks to support from It’s not OK and MSD.
