Dear Z Energy – you pimp petrol, you aren’t in a position to lecture on morality

I think Wicked Campers are ugly and some of the offensive rape culture  garbage sprayed on the side of them demands creative vandalism whenever one comes across their vile shuttles.

What I do think reeks even more however is Z Energy jumping in playing morality crusader by asking customers if they should ban Wicked Camper service.

Apart from the place selective service starts to take us, where the fuck does a filthy climate change destroying corporate member of an oligopoly, pimping oil to an addicted consumer culture get off telling the rest of us what our ethics should be?

It’s like taking surgery tips from Hannibal Lecter.

Shut up Z Energy, just shut up.

  1. Yes Martyn,

This is equal to key dragging us all down to his grubby level isn’t hje.

Into his corner where the sleazy hide their ill-gotten gains into “Blindgate” so called trusts but trust is a stretch with anything around these activities that no one seems to care about now, so we are now such a dirty place than we were before Key turned up earlier this millennium.

Very sad I feel tarnished by this monster.

  2. so they will employ staff/guards to stop the driver of one of these things putting petrol in it, or ask for it back if they are not quick enough? Cant see how this would work in reality.

  3. That’s glass house stuff Martin. Yes we maybe addicted, but most of it is by choice.
And it is not Z energy that is solely responsible for CC, as is the average diet with its 18% contribution to CC over transports 15%.
So who do you choose to starve to death first? Without fossil fuels people will start dropping like flies.
Where as rape is something we can surly all make a stand on? Even though with the horror story we are about to enter, rape may be the order of the day? 22after.com
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

  4. Martyn, I truly hope your personal behaviour is totally coherent with your attitude. If you truly never use fossil fueled transport or buy anything packaged in plastic, or use any of other petrochemical-derived products, cool . If not, that was just a childish outburst and you’re as much a part of the problem as Z. Sort of like a user blaming his pusher for his addiction.

    • So basically, Michael, what you’re telling us is, “Sit down, Shut up, and be a good little compliant consumer”?

You don’t really accept the notion that we are (or should be) first and foremost Citizens?

Nice to know you respect the right for people to speak their mind.

      • That’s not how I interpreted it myself. The fact is the glass you drink from, the plate you eat from, the utensils you use, the food itself and the energy to heat it, all leave a carbon/pollution footprint one way or another. We all want the proverbial free lunch, but until cheap and widespread nuclear fusion (which NZ will probably resist using anyway because “nuclear is bad, mkay”) is invented this is inevitably going to carry on. People that buy electric cars always seem to conveniently forget where the electricity comes from (and believe me if EVERYONE in NZ drove electric cars, you need to explain how the energy of 152,000 oil barrels PER DAY(http://www.indexmundi.com/energy.aspx?country=nz&product=oil&graph=consumption) worth of energy (= 247,486,400 kWh) that our current transport fleet requires is going to be created when we’re on electricity (hint: coal fired plants).

  5. [im right, I have trashed several of your comments tonight that were no more than snide, childish abuse. If you have a practical point to make, do so, but you will not turn this forum into a Whaleoil v2. Posting on this forum is a privilege, not a right, and anything lacking merit will not be published. – ScarletMod]

  6. Dear Martyn – do you buy petrol?

I’m figuring you do and if so stop being so pious. This is how the world works you demand and someone supplies. Z are no more ethically compromised in this regard than you or I.

    • We inherit the market we are given and no one here (especially Bomber) will apologise for wanting to improve the lives of our family and community.

Just go back to sleep you sheep

    • IM RIGHT AS A KEY TROLL I AGREE, ALWAYS “your comments ARE ALWAYS no more than snide, childish abuse” as Martyn says.
Go back to some other job not trolling for corrupt Key In’c.

    • “Z are no more ethically compromised in this regard than you or I.”

Really? I think fossil fuel companies are more to blame than individual behaviour. We ain’t going to stop climate change with personal behaviour, it’ll take systemic change, and that means corporations and businesses are more responsible.

      • No.

Fossil fuel companies are supplying energy in its most cost competitive form. For most people there is no alternative to fossil fuels for mobility. However the future is looking a bit more promising and I suspect the likes of BP, Z, Mobil etc will be dinosaurs eventually.

        • Sure, capitalism is the problem, I agree with you there. But I don’t agree that Exxon Mobil can be regarded as just a cog in the capitalist machine.

Fossil fuel companies are more than a cog – they’re the engine

    • Hey Wanderer, I think you’re employing a bit of diversion there, old mate. This is about Wicked Campers and not you trying to undermine one problem by pointing to another.

  7. Destroy the Earth tastefully.

Isn’t that what many corporations do?

And lie about their business activities and the long-term consequences of their activities, of course.

This is the new ‘normal’ -a society founded on deceit and hypocrisy and held together by deceit and hypocrisy that destroys itself and everything else in the name of comfort and convenience, and ‘nobody’ is accountable……..what is now commonly referred to as The Empire of Lies, The Empire of Chaos, Life at the End of Empire on the Planet of the Maniacs etc. And most of the populace are completely clueless.

2016 is stacking up to be a very ‘interesting’ year, with the financial system in its death throes, energy depletion taking its incremental toll and the planet overheating and melting at an ever faster rate………. perhaps the year the scumbags at the top of the pyramid can no longer maintain the façade.

  8. I dunno… I hate petrol too, but I use it because I have to if I want to be part of the world. But I also hate wicked campers and would happily see their business exit nz.

Can’t we take some kind of pleasure in one of our enemies fighting with another?

  9. This is the same petrol company that pays it’s migrant workforce below minimum wage, makes them work double shifts without breaks, when there is no bus service (because of odd hours: shifts finish before buses have begun for the day/end after the last bus) the employees have to make their own way home.

In Wellington: Yeah I asked the employess – all hard working and here to make a better life. ALL exploited by this company. Not that Z are alone in their exploitation, but this “moral stand” of theirs is a bit effing rich.

  10. You know how to get their gander up — hey Martyn.
Lots of fever and emotion in the above comments. A few idiots as well.

The pimped out rapists and addicted folks would not even be much of an issue had we stopped the oil companies in the 1940’s and 1950’s from truly raping the world and writing laws to protect them from taking any responsibility for their mess and cleaning up their pollution. Their murders and destruction of peoples lives and permanent annihilation of environments and NOT being held accountable for all of that, is what we need to focus on and then we would have the money ( after the rich pay their proper taxes as well ) to help people not become addicted and use renewable energy and slowly get off the fossil fuel tit.

Another major reason why TPPA needs to be stopped as it will just give more power to these criminal corporations to continue suing countries for their greedy based — lost profits. Beyond disgusting ! !

Wicked Campers – I would not encourage vandalism but I would help with some regulations and laws to stop that kind of propaganda madness that our kids are seeing. Who would really want to rent and drive around some of their pimp mobiles anyway ? More addicts and pimps ? It is revolting and they should be stopped but to encourage violent vandalism is lowering ourselves into the gutter that some of those vans dwell in and the idiots who own the company seem to be OK with.

  11. Isn’t it about time that you take me off the list of those you need to
screen before publication so that I have the option to edit and change ? ? ? ?

  12. What? Z Energy or whatever their fuckin “Sexy” name is are now the arbiters of society’s sexual mores? Give me a break. Go Martyn
