  1. Guilty???, the current Government breaches its obligations to Auckland maori by retreating into denial that it is obliged to offer Crown owned land to the Tamaki Collective befor its developer mates???,

It would appear that this is the case, outed by a letter sent from the Ministry of Education to the Tamaki Collective advising the collective that one of the blocks Nick Smith proposed to flick off to the developer mates was in fact surplus and the MOE would be offering it to the Tamaki Collective as per that bodies agreement with the Government,

The Prime Minister’s spurious claim that the Tamaki Collective have no right of first refusal because his Government sold Christchurch land without first offering it to the locals, Ngai Tahu, as per that tribes agreement is pretty much the justification of the criminal burglar claiming immunity from prosecution because he had not been noticed burgling a previous building,

The Law is the Law, and, the agreement with the Tamaki Collective, and, other Iwi is that unless the Government is to keep ownership of such blocks of land it must be offered to the Iwi within who’s rohe such land sits,

Smith, i have long argued, is not the brightest spark in the National Government’s battery and would, in my opinion, better serve as the Minister of Sanitary Conveniences…

  2. So they’ve finally replaced Campbell Live with… Come Dine With Me. Will the guests discuss the shocking state of politics and the absence of investigative journalism? Will they talk about the number of people using foodbanks or whose kids depend on Kidscan lunches at school as they tuck in? Will they ponder upon the perverse concept of competing for paltry prizes and the dumbing down of weeknight television whilst viewers struggle on minimum wages and Air NZ announce more job cuts? It couldn’t be more grotesque.

  3. Apparently there is illegal trade of kauri logs going on in Northland. Although it is illegal, they are being dredged up out of swamps and exported to China where they are worth lots of mullah. The kauri pirates apparently used a technicality in the law which allows for CARVINGS made from Kauri to be exported. Put a couple of axe cuts in it and it is a carving, apparently.
To make this matter worse, guess who is profiting from this? According to Morning Report it is Judith Collins husband David Wong-Tung. Perhaps that is why all the complaints from locals to government and local government about illegal kauri logging have been ignored for the past couple of years.
    Words fail me!

  4. The country is now full of carpetbaggers cheats and thieves using twisted legal loopholes paid by gangsters & banksters.

  5. @ mike the lefty – Now that Winston is the MP for the North, perhaps he can clamp down on this scam…
