RIP H.R. Giger – art of beautiful darkness

1. It saddens me to think we have lost one of the greatest artists of our time. His capacity for innovative ideas like his swiss rail project that he submitted to the government reveals the true extent of his talent. He was a true renaissance man able to conceptualise everything from sunglasses, locomotives, cars, furniture and candlestick holders. His Giger chairs and giger bars reveal his design genius. There will never be another artist like him. He will be sorely missed.
