Mate, you can’t just not visit the Marae up and down the country who are opening their doors to let the homeless live there. They are doing the job you are so badly mishandling, they are actually housing the homeless, while all you can do is make more homeless and build tax havens.
I appreciate having to see face to face the horror of your own privatisation agenda and the deep stirrings of self loathing that must create can’t be fun, but you’re the one with the top job Paula, you have an obligation to at least pretend you care.
Which is what I think you should do here. When NZers were taken aback by the number of homeless being 40 000, you pretended to care by cooking up a ludicrous plan to pay them $5000 to move to Ashburton which you hadn’t even run past your own Finance Minister on the eve of his budget. When NZers were shocked at the images of families living in cars, you pretended to care by lying to the country telling them your staff had gone out with the Salvation Army and that the homeless actually liked living in cars and didn’t need any help.
You lie, twist and manipulate everything else Paula, so why not just lie about visiting a Marae as well? Just say you popped in, taught the natives about how to make a scrummy pot of healthy vegetable soup which can also double as an effective birth control, and lecture them all about rugged individualism while you roll out the welfare for corporations picking up Ministry contracts.

I trust Paula Bennett will go there with a cheque book, and write out a 5,000 dollar cheque for each one of the homeless, to send them off and out of Auckland.
I feel sorry for Paula Bennett as she started off with some feelings for the downtrodden but she has lost her moral fibre of decency now and is just running with the hounds as fast as she can into the club of the most destructive Government we have seen in our history that she will become a party to.
I just wished these marginal National stalwarts would desert the Party and cross the floor in Parliament to rid this evil Government.
I don’t feel sorry for Bennett one bit. We all have a choice on how we act on any given issue and we all have a conscience .
She has shown consistently she is willing to play along with the Key led govt and furthermore was willing to enact the most ruthless measures under orders. People like her have cost the beneficiaries , the working poor and now the homeless untold damage.
Sorry mate , but I’m implacable.
I only give a few chances and if I see a vicious streak like Bennett’s demonstrated over the last 8 years she’s less than dirt.

She has no pity for those whom her policies are hurting why feel sorry for her with all the damage she is doing to our country and the people she is suppose to be helping. She has learned from her master how to tell big porkies and get away with it. She is downright nasty and she makes up things as she goes along.

As we learned today, when the pressure gets too great, and when her failings show, she is swift with a diversion tactic, by letting some discrete private, personal info leak to the MSM, so people exposing her and her failings get slaughtered by the public opinion court out there.
