  1. It must be gut-wrenching for the left to see politics done so effectively and efficiently. But will they learn from it?

    1. Effective and efficient for who? The right never back up their nonsense with evidence because as dictators living in a neoliberal existence the ” I’m all sorted” types don’t care, as proven around the world.

  2. its because they are now owned by those types of business people who are now pulling the chain to flush NZ down the toilet.Just wait till they give a massive handout to the racing industry ,to whom they owe a large amount of donation money .Those people will be wanting a large return on investment in the way of tax write offs for over valued Horses and land .

  3. Apparently, almost one year after the election the latest poll shows that 55% of voters are quite happy with the performance of this government. The opposition, I use that term loosely, can only muster 40% support. The latest OCR drop will not help Chippie at all.

    1. Peter they’re still in their honeymoon period, once the impact of their policies take place those figures will flip particularly when we will no longer have a public health system.

  4. Because this government are fucking weird Heritage Foundation Atlas Network spinoffs who have finally got their mitts back ( after Rogernomics) on the reins of power to further their evil rich bastards agenda. Which you have itemised many times over. So weird and unbelievable what they have done and are doing. Increasing speed limits, promotion of heated tobacco products thru tax cuts etc etc etc

  5. People will look back on the 2023 election as the turning point after 6 years of Labour underperformed. The latest poll figures speak volumes.

    1. People like you wanked on about democracy and transparency. Now you applaud the erosion of democracy, by a bunch of con artists.

  6. The evidence Tame shared shows that the very committee Nicole McKee was part of *repeatedly* raised the issue of no regulation of high capacity magazines.

Jack’s researcher just isn’t familiar enough with the issue to recognise his mistake.

Furthermore, the current Coroner’s Inquest has shown that Stuart Nash was briefed on this as well in 2017. What is Labour’s excuse for also doing nothing?

Both colours of Government screwed this up. The Police ignored their process and gave a terrorist a firearms licence.

    1. So that is your justification for reversing yet another great policy by the last government and adding to the death toll .Im pleased this lot were not in charge during the pandemic

    1. The knowledge economy Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, these NACTZIs sure missed that era.

  7. Why does this Government love Tobacco, Guns and Mining so much?
Because they lerv Amerika, its consumerism, its exploitation of workers – primarily immigrant workers, and its quest for SUSTAINED rather than sustainable GROWTH.
Won’t be long before muppets like Simeon Brown will be calling for ‘Give Way’ signs to be replaced with “Yeid’ signs.
They don’t have functioning critical thought or imagination. They have rusted on ideology that doesn’t evolve with circumstance and which (as David Lange once suggested) is in the nature of a religion. Except it’s worse than that – it’s in the nature of a cult.

  8. ” our plan is working ” exclaims Ms Witless yesterday as the RB drops an inth of interest.
Yeah ! shout the dumb bastards.
Read the latest Treasury FEU ? The drop off in GDP ? Read the expected further job losses ? All of it is a loss of revenue to the government purse.
Seen the everyday real stories like the 88 year old losing their tenancy because the landlord lost his job and nowhere to go ?

    Make a Tui sign.

  9. Why does this Government love Tobacco, Guns and Mining so much?
It is because rangatiratanga is the only way forward for our nation, and if you don’t want to move forward then you can only move back.
Back to the nineteenth century, when tobacco, guns and mining were the hallmarks of colonialism. When tobacco and guns were used to take the lives and land of Maori by stealth and by force. Mining for gold then provided an economic base for colonial capitalism, which is the most exploitative form of capitalism known to humankind.
That is why “this government”, in fact the entire colonialist regime, is fixated on tobacco, guns and mining. It is desperate to avoid progress towards rangatiratanga, mana motuhake and kotahitanga. Therefore it seeks to return to its ugly and twisted nineteenth century roots.
But it will be to no avail. The future lies with rangatiratanga which will not be stopped by drugs, guns or the circulation of false wealth extracted from the bowels of the earth.
