  1. Couldn’t agree more. Denying service – hmm – borderline. Boasting of it and we’re entering breakdown of society territory, where lack of civility portends nothing positive, and achieves nothing, except maybe a whetting up of unhelpful emotions.

  3. If i went into certain bars or restaurants wearing the jandals jeans and a beanie, i’d get refused entry, presumably because my image didn’t reflect the ‘image’ or standards of the establishment.

    Maybe this is the same thing.

    Then again, we own a business with a socialist vibe, and have had a few discussions about certain locals we would refuse service to for political reasons, but then when push comes to shove, as long as they behave in a reasonable fashion we have never kicked them out. And, in fact, have engaged in some enlightening conversations with the most unlikely of people.

    Talking, and extending the hand of reason, is always the first step. You will never open anyone else’s mind if you slam the door in their face. And unless the Left plans on going full Pol Pot on them, we really do need to keep talking to the centrists and even the nutters.
