  1. “Assange is the very best of us, his detainment is an obscenity.”

Again, what does it say about today’s world that the very best of us, certainly the very best from a media standpoint, is being as maltreated as he is/has been with every likelihood of this only getting worse should he be extradited to the USA. Politicians everywhere, turn a blind eye, the general public, largely ignorant.

Politicians are captured, (mainstream) media is captured – how long before we are caged in too!

  2. And all that adoration of Navalny going on it is appalling. Of course he was murdered we know that Putin gets rid of any threat. We also know that he was the US’s preferred man, that says a great deal. He was extremely right wing and would undoubtedly when reforming the country under the US’s watch make conditions worse for Russians.

Assange should be sent home to Australia and I heard the radio yesterday there are further talks to this effect.

  3. How come Julian faces 175 years for reporting war crimes but Israelis can upload war crimes on social media and are not charged? Should be the other way round. Justice for Julian and the victims of atrocities.

  4. The complete foreign control of the UK makes it very likely that Assange will be dragged off to the American torture dungeons, sadly. Just like the only yank who went to prison over the CIA’s torture program was the guy,
    who exposed it, John Kiriakou.

I can’t think of a better reason to cut all ties and cooperation of any kind with the Yankee scum. Assange exposed more American crimes than any other journalist.

The only thing he did wrong, as far as I’m concerned, is not doing what he is commonly (falsely) accused of- disclosing the names of people who cooperated with Americans to subvert their own nations, so they could get their just desserts. Some moron from the Guardian did that by accident in an attempt to show off. Funny how that guy isn’t facing any charges.
