“Five climate activists who planned a protest” is the description used, there is no dictionary that I know of that equates that to terrorist. There is a far more compelling reason to believe that those who are destroying the environment that we depend on for life in the pursuit of a few more dollars are the terrorists which is why peaceful protest needs to be allowed since the bell curve is all the evidence you need to know that sections of the population are unaware of the harm coming so they need to see the actions of others to learn about the danger coming.

Not a major road blocker myself as a tactic unless it is an urgent industrial/solidarity issue–but hey, there are major road closures going on in my patch–Tai Tokerau. In the Far North the Mangamuka route has been closed for many months and the Brynderwyn SH1 route ditto and remains tenuous. This causes a lot of disruption for permanent residents, tourists and delivery of goods and services and stresses secondary roads.
Now, why you might ask are these main arteries closed? Fucking Climate Change is why–and lack of a full rail link to Kaitaia does not help. Weather events have closed State Highways, and as long as the Natzos support sheep shaggers and industrial dairy ahead of taking action on climate disaster and emissions it will only deteriorate.
dont need to worry the roads will soon be gone either flooded or burned .As a boomer I get sick of the shit about how much money I must have because I am one .I know a lot of people way younger than I that have millions .They have bled the boomer parents and grand parents dry of all their money and borrowed against the parents and grandparent homes .
Yes I collect the pension and own my own home .I still pay rates of over 4k a year and insurance as well as all the other living costs that every other person pays weather they own the home or pay rent .I also look after 3 grand children 125 hours a week and do the daily school run and delivery and pick up from sport all unpaid .There are a lot of the next generation who would not survive ,and a hell of a lot more kids living on the street and in poverty if us boomers were not here .
So all you boomer haters can go and get fucked we are worth our weight in gold when we were working and more so after we stop working .
