  1. “Pretty sure employees could get a better deal if they negotiated for themselves.”

Well no, in most instances the bar owner tells bar staff what they will be paid, end of story.

  2. “A Living Wage start rate (currently $23.65/hour)”

$23.65 per hour vs Million Dollar Homes.. bit of a joke really. IMO $40 per hour is probably a more realistic starting wage.

Even $40 per hour is a bit low for a wage job. For housing to be considered affordable, wages would actually need to be a couple of hundred dollars (plus) per hour.

Pretty sure employees could get a better deal if they negotiated for themselves. I imagine MOST in hospitality are earning more than $23.65 per hour.

Going by this article, Unite Union sounds like a racket and a racket trying to expand itself at that.
