When will voters realise that silly old codgers like the demented Trump and Winston are no longer the people to vote for! It’s time for an age limit to be placed on MP’s, especially those with power. Their minds are still set in the 1900’s, and while they may have a brain that is active – it is no longer sharp and their memory is failing. Hence they forget recent important events, conversations and fine details. Time for both Trump and Winston to retire gracefully. For Winston to be belatedly claiming he believes “there is a chance to turn this country around” is beyond a joke. He has done nothing but kowtow to the USA and play the CoC-up game so far too late. The irreversible damage has well and truly been done. His followers are a mish-mash of tin hat, anti-vax, head-in-sand nutters. He’s well and truly missed the boat.

He knows This is just Winston being the oportunist he has always been, setting up his skittles for whoever will do a post-election deal with him.
What’s more important to Winston is what happens after the election. After being handed his favourite baubles of office, his racing and foreign affairs portfolios, from whichever party gifts them to him in exchange for confidence and supply, Winston will settle back into his routine of attending glittering functions at the Epsom Showgrounds. and jetting around the world 1st class.
Before the election of the Clark Labour government, Winston Peters ran a vicious and racist election campaign against Chinese immigrants and China itself. On being gifted the foreign affairs portfolio by Helen Clark, Winston Peters slipped into the background while Helen Clark negotiated a free trade deal with the Chinese regime. At the same time Clark was in Beijing engaging in trade negotiations, Chinese troops were shooting down peaceful protesters in Tibet en mass. Back home in New Zealand not a peep from Winston Peters.

He sold our sovereignty out permanently when he took his and his colleagues ministerial warrants and represented the current regime and its corrupt practices.
Our sovereignty has been under attack ever since we jumped in the boat with the bankers and neoliberals including that shyster Key and his government who openly sold out our sovereign legislation to Warner’s and Sky City in the blackmailed tax concessions and amending worker protection’s in the Labour act.
Sovereignty is dead and was sold when Kiwis voted for tax cuts that were only enriching their bosses , shareholders much more than their measly $10 a week.
And consistently undermining their health services and how long they will wait for receiving a state pension now suggested at 70 in order to ensure ant state provision is non existent for many working slaves despite Winston’s comments.
Sovereignty in new Zealand is now like many things in our country an entitlement for those who have money and influence.

I am so way over hearing about his Attention Seeking Antics. He just putting Himself First and NZ LAST. About the ONLY good thing he did for NZers was to create the Super Gold Card. Other than that he has done nothing except show to the world how much he would lick Trump’s Rear-End to keep in favour of Insane Trump.
After the 1996 election I never trusted Winston Peters ever again. As I said he is a Liar and he has lied so many times since that he just doesn’t deserve any respect or credibility.
He has Wasted a considerable sum of NZ Taxpayers money on such things as the Winebox Inquiry.
It’s time for parliament to have younger and more fresher in the mind MPs than old Dinosaurs like Winston Peters, Gerry Brownlee and Judith Collins.
Winston is indulging in political theatre. And it has been scripted. He is playing to the unknowing and accepting. Also he is a lawyer, and they have an individual, superior sense of what is right, and a wily sense of how to move in political circles (round and round with them foremost.) I have worked for lawyers, and they are mainly motivated by the law and its interesting, useful and financially beneficent aspects, not so much by fairness in society, equity, etc. Lawyers moved into the Labour Party instead of physical workers living and working as part of ordinary society, and so the Party lost an important leitmotif.
