Top 5 reasons why Big Oil should f**k off

As NZ welcomes Big oil back into NZ, let’s remind everyone of the Top 5 reasons why Big Oil should fuck off.

1 – Climate Change Lies

Big Oil knew all the way back in the 1990s that climate change generated by their pollution was true and did everything in their power to fund climate denial scientists to lie to you the people so that you wouldn’t demand our Politicians do anything.

2 – Leaded Petrol Lies

For decades Big oil added lead to petrol and this alone had a bigger impact on global health than anything else, it probably did more to retard intelligence than any single thing ever done. Big Oil KNEW that leaded oil killed and covered it up. Hilariously the inventor of leaded oil, Thomas Midgley Jr was caught up in a contraption he built and killed himself.

3 – Warping foreign policy and radicalising Muslim World

Those authoritarian Muslim regimes that use an authoritarian form of islam do so propped up by the West who empower them to gain access to oil. We have invaded the Middle East and set in motion authoritarian regimes purely so Americans can drive insanely huge cars with cheap petrol.

4 – Atlas Network

The biggest funders of the Atlas Network who manipulate for free market deregulation using astroturf organisations are Big Oil and other polluters.

5 – Shane Jones

Ok.

You might be someone who believes that we need oil and gas exploration in NZ.

You might argue that NZ needs jobs and that we still need oil and gas to keep our economy stable because renewables are woke.

Now, I think that position is bullshit because oil and gas can’t be part of any future because catastrophic climate change is a reality, the 2% royalties are a joke and that investment needs to go into making NZ 100% renewable instead of more oil and gas, but EVEN IF you make the argument for jobs and supplementing our energy needs – why the fuck would you still agree with what Shane Jones did?

Even if you scream ‘jobs’ and hate the woke for making you feel bad about oil and gas – WHY THE LIVING CHRIST WOULD YOU STILL AGREE WITH WHAT SHANE DID?

Oh, you aren’t aware of what Shane did at the last minute?

He allowed these oil and gas companies off the hook for the pollution clean up.

You heard that right.

Previously Labour had passed law that said if you are the licence holder, you can’t on-sell that licence near the end of the field so as to avoid the pollution clean up costs once you have taken all the oil.

This exact thing happened during the Tui Oil Field debacle where NZ Taxpayers were left with a $300million clean up cost!

WHY. THE. FUCK. WOULD. YOU. SLEEPY. STUPID. HOBBITS. ALLOW. BIG. OIL. TO TAKE. ALL. OUR. OIL. AND. ALLOW. THEM. TO. LEAVE. US. WITH. THE. CLEAN. UP. COSTS???

You will note that I wrote that sentence in one word full stops so that even NZFirst voters can understand.

Why allow an oil company to take our oil, pay us a pittance in royalties and then fucking stiff us with the pollution clean up costs?

Surely you can’t hate Jacinda, vaccines, Māori and Trans people so much that you are gleefully willing to allow Matura Shane to give the oil companies a loop hole so they don’t have to pay for their pollution?

Surely you can’t?

Surely?

They made the mess, they have to clean up their pollution!

Why are you allowing Shane Jones to get away with this environmental vandalism?
