The vast abuse of political power this month
Just consider the vast abuse of power we have witnessed this month from this hard right Government.
They have abused Urgency to ram through deeply controversial powers without the proper scrutiny, legislation that will gerrymander voting powers, torture pigs for the pig industry, allow corporate farmers off the hook for the pollution they create, allow mining and big polluters to bypass environmental protections and give citizens the rights of vigilante mobs.
Right Wing Trolls will try to defend this by screaming, ‘But Jacinda’, as if anything she did was on par with this abuse of power which shows how deep their Jacinda Derangement Syndrome has become.
NOTHING justifies the way National, NZF and ACT have abused power here.
They are doing this to hide what they are doing and it is counter to all democratic values no matter how you vote.

How much dimmer can NZ voters get? That so many voters can’t see the arrogance and audacity in this behaviour is unbelievable. This CoC has virtually given NZ the middle finger with their appalling abuse of power in ‘shoving’ and ‘sneaking’ through Bills that are disengenious in the extreme. I anticipate at least 50% of these will embarrassingly fall over due to severe lack of tuning. Since we can all see that any government is in power because they have a majority, we need to protect NZ from this in the future by ensuring a minimum of 70% backing of any Bills, no fast-tracking, adequate time for voter input, and in fact an independent adjudicating panel to make the final decision. If a Bill is in the best interests of the majority it will be passed. The way this is being abused now is simply bullying and apathy. God how I hate these two traits, along with greed!
