The Māori Electorates in Election 2026, Winston’s race baiting referendum and how spineless is Luxon?
Expect to hear a chorus of Whero Neck mouth breeders to start screaming, ‘one person, one vote’ to justify starting a race war over burning down the Māori electorates which is eye rolling because in NZ of course, it’s ‘one person, 2 votes’, these clowns can’t even get their talking points sorted.
Theses are the same muppets who will demand multiple votes at local council voting time of course to ensure they get a say on where their batch is.
Here’s how the Māori Electorates are looking right now.
The Māori Electorates in Election 2026
Here’s where I think the current Māori Electorates are in terms of the vibe.
- Hauraki-Waikato – The question isn’t will Hana‑Rawhiti Maipi‑Clarke win, the question will be is she running for Te Pati Māori or Labour.
- Ikaroa-Rāwhiti – After all the chaos of the Māori Party meltdown, Cushla Tangaere‑Manuel will win for Labour despite Green Candidate Heather Te Au-Skipworth.
- Tāmaki Makaurau – Not clear that Oriini will get the nod again from Te Pati Māori as a candidate for the election. Labour need a super star, David Letele won’t be that (after demanding Minister of Health), but Labour can win if they roll out a superstar candidate.
- Te Tai Hauāuru – Debbie Ngarewa‑Packer had a 6000 margin, she will win again.
- Te Tai Tokerau – Mariameno won’t be selected for the election, she may run as an independent and split the vote. Good chance that Hūhana Lyndon could surprise everyone and win it for the Greens.
- Te Tai Tonga – The question will be can Doc win as an independent? Likely pick up for Labour
- Waiariki – Greens will be leaning into Tania Waikato, but Rawiri will win.
CONCLUSION
Greens have a real chance to pick up a lot more Party vote and possibly win one electorate.
TPM can hold 3-4 seats. Won’t do well in Party vote, could generate an MMP overhang
Labour can hold 1 electorate and pick up maybe 4, will see a reduced Party vote as Greens muscle in.
Winston’s race baiting referendum

Winston Peters using the Māori Party as a justification to simply burn the Māori electorates down is a bit like wanting to bomb Parliament because you don’t like Shane Jones!
The secret to Winston’s 40 year political success with the angry whites is that he has been a Māori willing to kick down other Māori – a referendum to destroy the Māori electorates is the culmination of a career of race baiting – he is the disgrace!!
His lies are already falling to pieces
Winston’s argument for desecrating the Māori Electorates is already falling to pieces.
He claims the Māori roll has been dropping, this is simply a lie – it has increased by over 16 000 since the last election and in fact the majority of Māori are on the Māori Roll as opposed to the General Roll.
Asking the majority to decide the rights of the minority is the worst abuse of power. Winston’s shtick for the last 40 years has been the Māori who kicks other Māori and the angry whites love him for it.
He is gleefully playing to the worst angels of our nature and that should be condemned not celebrated.
Whatever you think of the Māori Party MPs and their behaviour, mutilating the NZ Democratic landscape to attract racist crackers is Old Zealand, not New Zealand.
How spineless is Luxon?
Winston is a gangrenous tumour leading a Party of venal polices paid for by their big polluter donors.
Winston is older than Israel.
He has been kingmaker 4 times.
He plays to grievance and resentment.
NZ is no better for his race baiting, conspiracy theories and malice.
That so many Kiwis see his as their saviour is a failing for civil society.
He is the toxic political fart of Nigel Farage this year.
By attacking the WHO, Winston is playing to their bigotry and ignorance in the worst possible way.
He is a calcified prejudice for mouth breather sectarianism.
He is Old Zealand constantly strangling the hopes of New Zealand and his electorate is the celebration of gauche callowness.
This is the Party of Book Burners and people who are hurting.
Winston has been kingmaker 4 times and NZ is no better for his race baiting, conspiracy theories & malice, playing to the worst angels of our nature by calling for a referendum on the Māori Electorates is one stop closer to Nigel Farrage, Pauline Hanson and Donald Trump.
Labour and National must rule him out because of his extremism.
My fear is Luxon is so spineless, he will get played by Winston just the way Seymour played him into supporting the disastrous Treaty Principles Referendum.
Luxon won’t be able to show true leadership here because he’s too weak.
Now is the time to walk away from the National Party.
