  1. Its unbelievable but as I read the other day a woman could get advanced cancer medications vastly cheaper in the USA than here.

PHARMAC was once a good idea but no longer is it fit for purpose and it hasn’t been for many years. This is not news to anyone. Consistent underfunding has left NZ a 3rd world recipient of older cheaper nastier drugs.

People died needlessly because PHARMAC, aka the NZ Government, sourced rubbish quality drugs for its citizens to save a buck. And our so called caring government shrugs it’s useless shoulders and ignores this glaring problem all the same.

Housing or health go hand in hand with our growing inequity. Labour are struggling.

  2. Thanks for this Martin. I’m glad you raised it.

It’s just one more sign that the poor are nothing more than a commodity to those tethered to the failed ideology of liberalism.

The poor are nothing more than somthing to make money off, and when they become bothersome, to be ignored.

My personal experience with this, was to see people on these drugs, try and use alcohol to get some form of balance – all but forced into the nightmare of self medication. They eventually found there way back to an even keel, but booze thrown into the mix does not help them or anyone else.

    Please keep the reporting up.
