Here is something that some of us have wanted to know for a long time. Who owns our land, here in Aotearoa. Radio NZ has just released the list of the top 50 private landowners. Nineteen of these (individuals and entities) are based overseas. Together these top 50 own a million hectares of land. New Zealand’s total land area is 26.8m ha.
