(this come from the noise they make should any lowly peasant dare to question what they have etched in stone/pronounced from on high..
..this is also the noise-of-disdain they make should there be a suggestion they actually reply to a/any peasant-question/challenge..)
‘sniff’ is also used in relation to the tracker-dogs sent to find them..after they have disappeared up their own arses..(which happens on a regular basis..)
