Only a little bit of study in psychology would show that an attempt to ‘pepper-pot’ the lower orders amongst the achievers would result in aggravation. It can’t be nice for the unemployed or underpaid to live so close to wealthier others, some of whom don’t seem to work at all, lying round swimming pools, hopping into nice cars, etc.
I think that if the government is planning ghettos of the higher paid, along the lines of gated communities, they should make allowances for the lower paid; concrete homes outer and inner walls, and not too far off the ground or people are divorced from ground floor human interaction and dependent on bad lifts or shaky legs and possibly menaced stairs.
Cater for the outcomes of the last 40 years of failure FGS.

How to make NZ/AO a third and a half- world country. How to deny disadvantaged children the opportunity to get a place in the world that they deserve??????!!!! What about school being a place where kids like attending.
Some sport and choice of outdoor activity for all, just have it weighted so it’s one-third for the kids ready to go, and two-thirds for those who can’t settle. Give them goals of formal education with pens and pencils, some reading and comprehension and then some sport. Stop trying to turn everybody into mechanical dolls and models. What is freedom when it’s not having nothing left to lose?
