In an interview with National Public Radio last week , Cuccinelli said that the famous words on the Statue of Liberty which implore the world to “give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free” was an invitation to only those immigrants “who can stand on their own two feet and who will not …

…The comments on Tuesday from Ken Cuccinelli, the acting director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, came a day after the Trump administration announced it would seek to deny green cards to migrants who seek Medicaid, food stamps, housing vouchers or other forms of public assistance. The move, and Cuccinelli’s defense, prompted an outcry from Democrats and immigration advocates who said the policy would favor wealthier immigrants and disadvantage those from poorer countries in Latin America and Africa….

This is an example of the sick society we live in which is being added to and recreated every day by our sick political system!

Out of all the happenings in the world that we could be told about, and even from the USA, we get tragedy, drama with death of children. Ugly isn’t it, that this type of connection with our emotions is activated. We are weakened in our humanity by the choice of viciousness and pathetic sadness dished out to us purposely by the media, and is behind a creeping numbness and despair that freezes our intelligent responses over our supposed primitive traits. Note The Selfish Capitalist Oliver James book points out that western countries show twice the emotional distress of mainland European and also Japan. We are being mentally bludgeoned where it does the most harm.
