  1. A bit of important detail to know when thinking about Tiwai Point. (And perhaps thinking about the bad seasons for Bluff oysters, because of a disease – could there be a connection?) A fellow thinker on The Standard has written about aluminium and its production problems. Shame I like aluminium for its utility but might have to give it up.

  2. Sumsuch if you are possibly talking to me, I will say that you are not easy. In a democratic site one should be able to speak forth about one’s ideas, if one can illustrate and affirm them with information and history so why you should resile I don’t understand. If anybody offers to be your tour guide to a better place, it is a scam. But then there are battlefield tours, which should not be condemned, if there is a genuine attempt to learn and understand.

I have been reading about WW1 and 2, and heroes and heroines and the people who directed the battles and manoeuvres? and am aghast at moves today feeling it is deja vu. Be your own hero, do some reading and thinking and put your ideas forward that would guide us away from running aground on the rocks. Learn to use analogies. And don’t read eejits who you strongly disagree with; get your own line, check it out to see if it holds water, advance and be recognised. With people who use mixed metaphors to confuse, just mend the fuse, keep calm and carry on.
