What is attractive about most of the new builds today? Just get it up and build well, to decent levels and wait to mature a few years and a tornado will blow it down. If there is space between it and the neighbours, and it doesn’t block off sunlight and air movement then accept it thankfully.

One thing though there should be a lien? on it that it must be sold at market rate to a local trust which only sells it to those living in the community and who are working there. How about that for something to make change from the robbing of our land and housing assets?

Not all ME sufferers have this level of decline. But look at how they are in this article. There is some internal breakdown after having a virus that hits some so hard they are wiped out. And often these people have been busy achievers. If they had cancer they would get noticed but because their vitality is nil, a close circle only know unless they join a help group. Numbers from long covid will increase the present number in NZ with the disability of ME/CFS which may never right itself completely, though some can achieve a normal life .
