Conspiracy theorist and invariably unsuccessful lawyer Sue Grey spent time behind bars today after upsetting the judge while supporting one of her nutter mates in the Nelson District Court. Grey was escorted into custody after Judge Tony Zohrab found her in contempt of his courtroom. Meanwhile the year-long Law Society probe into Grey’s fitness to practice continues to creak along. There must be great debate in the halls of justice as to what exactly constitutes bringing the world’s second-oldest profession into disrepute. In her latest attention-seeking drivel fest, Grey was supporting a sovereign citizen drongo charged with unlawfully selling alcohol. A competent lawyer would have advised the accused to plead guilty. I rest my case.
