  1. I am sick and tired of people giving no consideration whatsoever to young people with long term illnesses who for whatever reason do not get subsidized meds and absolute crap treatment by winz once they turn 18.

When are you social policy people actually going to give the time of day to these young people.

Susan St John i would suggest you have a damn goid read of my facebook group “Underfunding of medicines by pharmac ” because it is the dysfunction between winz funding and medicines funding that is behind 235000 peoolr suffering every day .

The creation of this grouo was the catalyst I think of medicines Nz starting their current campaign ti change pharmacs way if funding meds as does winz nedd to change the eay young prople in the 18 to 30 age group get treated .

People are in abdolute ignorance of the dysfunction in the way the two interact medcinds funding and welfare funding of those with long term illnesses.

Believe you me I have experienced the dysfunctional funding for the last 8 and a half years keeping a young diabetic alive who is in the above age bracket whose health is 10 times worse because of that dysfunction.

  2. I have little hope in this government doing what is needed in welfare, they will continue the muddle on of Key et al, in a slightly more watered down fashion. Wait and see, they will be too scared to upset the majority of biased voters there are, who have been conditioned for years, thinking ALL benes are lazy, bludgers and need a good kick up the you know what.
