Patching over: King Cobras defect to Comancheros as gang expands into rival’s turf in Auckland

An international outlaw motorcycle club has pulled off an ambitious power play in the Auckland underworld by poaching key members of another gang and expanding into their rival’s territory.

Up to six members of the King Cobras have “patched over” to establish a chapter of the Comancheros in central Auckland, which has long been considered the turf of the “KCs”.

The brazen expansion by the ambitious newcomers has the potential to inflame tensions in an already volatile gang scene as the King Cobras, one of the oldest gangs in Auckland, have a reputation for not backing down.

The Comancheros are an Australian motorcycle club which established a chapter in New Zealand six years ago when a small, but influential, group were deported as “501s” by Australian authorities.

Law enforcement agencies were concerned about the gang’s connections to international organised crime groups, and their predictions soon came true.

News last week that the King Cobra’s had been patched over to the Comancheros is a dangerous escalation in the NZ Drug scene that will see a tsunami of cheaper and more pure meth hitting the Streets of Auckland by Chistmas.

The NZ underworld has been hit with an unprecedented event, and that is the forced deportation of thousands of 501 Australians who have brought with them a level of violence and criminal sophistication far in excess of the domestic gangs.

These 501s have brought in new Meth contacts from South Americans Cartels that sell a cheaper more pure product than the imported meth Alpha Domestic gangs like the Headhunters ship in via their Triad contacts.

The Headhunters run the docks and the KCs run the airports and what the Comancheros just did by patching over the KCs is gain an airbridge with South America.

This is the mechanics of Meth profits at work, this is an industry. All those drive by shootings you see are for drug debts and all the killings are 501 syndicates taking over from the less violent domestic gangs.
