  1. This whole statement reeks of the self serving language of a centralized bureaucracy. This is the only thing Labour were any good at. The transformation envisaged by the Adern government was that of the centralization of power and the destruction of local democracy. Time and again their reforms; in local tertiary education, in health, in 3 waters, in land and resource management, all followed this pattern.
    Faced with the increasing inequality systemic in our society, a natural outcome of neoliberalism, we needed a Sue Bradford style socialism to try to balance the scales. We got instead a version of communism based on power being given to Wellington bureaucrats and Iwi elites.
