A vile media pack forced Metiria out
I’m utterly dismayed that Metiria Turei has been forced out of the co-leadership of the Greens by a vile media pack determined to seize the opportunity of Metiria’s personal struggle to drive down the Greens.

IT WAS SHORTLY AFTER MARAMA DAVIDSON’S impassioned appeal to Metiria Turei’s devastated supporters, that the “Avenge Metiria” meme made its first appearance. No one’s entirely sure who started it, but pretty soon it was all over social media. Then the ideas for action started pouring in to the Green Party HQ. Though expressed in a multitude of ways, the message was clear: “If Metiria is to be avenged, then we have to get her supporters to the polls!”
You don’t get to pull the suicide bomber stance they took by publicly resigning and then try to come back in.
Shock and horror that Mike Hosking is hosting the TVNZ debates has erupted on social media with many claiming he is too biased against Labour to be an impartial host.
I disagree.
I was so sad to hear that Metiria Turei MP had resigned her co-leadership of the Greens. I think she is probably the most courageous MP of our generation and had the potential to completely transform our Government for the good. Sadly that is now unlikely to happen. Hypocrites and vampires have hounded her out, for things done over 20 years ago as a struggling solo mum.
Our water is a treasure that has been abused, stolen and polluted for far too long and it is beyond time that someone had the political courage to stand up to the Farming lobby and water bottling companies.
As a Socialist, I say Thank you Metiria for being on our side fighting when it counts.

If you’re brown, don’t dream of conquering mountains.
If you’re a woman, don’t you start having an opinion.
If you’re intelligent, play that shit down.
If you have stretch marks, you don’t stand a chance.
If you have aroha, don’t share it with others.
If you extend your arms, it had better not be for a handout.
If you have a voice, keep it zipped.
If you have a skeleton, best you bury the whole house, not just the closet.
Also, learn to lie.
The vast majority of Labour’s gain is at the expense of NZ First and the Greens, Jacinda was only able to pull .8% away from National, and that should be a major worry.
I really wonder what sort of advice is being given the leaders of the Labour Party and the Greens.
