The corporate mainstream media do a lot of complaining about ‘fake news’ and a lot of chest beating about the state of their ‘journalism’ but you can see why attacking the credibility of corporate news media is so easy to do when you see example after example of news that is not in any way shape or form actual news.

Bill Maher is unashamedly liberal, he doesn’t pretend to be centrist, he calls it like he sees it and because we have so few broadcasters who can actually articulate a counter hegemonic narrative to the right wing bullshit that contaminates all corporate news media, he is a unique and powerful voice for reason.

I am writing to complain about a story and associated comment by Barry Soper relating to our book Hit and Run. The story says that we were wrong about a type of weapon cartridges pictured in a
photo in the book and that this casts a shadow over the accuracy of the the book.
Look at the NZ media elites joyfully declaring the Commerce Commission has gutlessly been bullied by mainstream corporate media threats into flipping on their decision to stop their Newspaper Monopoly…
