MEDIA WATCH: Right now, the NZ Herald are giving more prominence to a ‘news’ story about Clarke Gayford’s fish than the State creating fake social media accounts to illegally spy on NZers
…right now the State has been busted using deception and lies to spy on NZers and our media are burying THEIR OWN STORY exposing this in favour of Clarke catching a fucking fish!

I’ve come to the conclusion after reading this story about a bikini model sitting on a curved pool tile and the ‘confusion’ that has created that our MMP threshold needs to be desperately lowered
‘Confusion’ over Bikini models may seem to be an odd catalyst for wanting a more representative political spectrum, but the only reason the largest daily newspaper in NZ can run this fucking pap is because there are so few alternatives for NZ news.

Dow Jones plunges 660 points, NZ Herald focuses on brawls, fetish photos & naked hack scandals
Maybe explain to the Millennial staff the impact this will have on the price of avocados and it might get some coverage? How about suggesting the Stock Exchange liked a Louis CK joke on Twitter or did a micro aggression against trans inclusion?
Could the economic armageddon get some coverage then?

The anger of David Moffett shouldn’t be written off or ignored – it needs to be challenged
…the violence of Moffett’s language should send a tingle of fear down everyones collective spine. NZ Politics shies away from such language in case they unlock the dark beast of the NZ psyche. That Moffett is willing to publicly make such angry comments suggests a New Conservative Party that could be a far more dangerous beast than the goofy Colin Craig.

How come this case of state spying hasn’t received the same level of attention and focus as the bullshit Sroubek case?
How come a micro aggression of a prisoner shouting at his wife after she reneges on an agreement be a BIGGER news story than entire swathes of the Government illegally spying on citizens?

As we spin on this tiny rock completing another circle around a medium sized sun at the arse end of the Milky Way Galaxy, these are insignificant ramblings trying to fish up some meaning for a 12 month period where nothing seemed to matter in the face of climate change while simultaneously everything managed to offend huge swathes of people you’ll never meet.
