Soooooo, now Peter Ellis has been found to have suffered a disgusting miscarriage of justice, can we discuss how Christchurch believed there was a satanic child sacrificing cult operating in the 1990s?

One of the parts that is conveniently swept under the carpet in all of this madness, is how on Earth a city in the 1990s came to believe there was a satanic child sacrificing cult operating at the Creche.

Before the allegations started swirling around Peter Ellis, there was a visit to Christchurch by International Speakers claiming that satanic cults were molesting and killing children in an attempt to freak out society and cause it to collapse.

It was after the International speakers appeared in Christchurch that people started making accusations towards Peter Ellis that he was involved in these satanic child molestation cults.

Add into these allegations Police Detectives investigating the cases and having inappropriate sexual relationships with some of the solo mothers claiming their children had been sexually molested by Peter Ellis as part of a satanic cult; Add into these allegations the fact ACC paid out tens of thousands of dollars to anyone who claimed to be a ‘victim’; Add in the damaged interviewing techniques that led children to give answers the Police wanted and you have all the ingredients for a feral Lynch mob that had lost any connection to reality.

Some of the ‘victims’ claimed Peter had murdered children and buried them at the creche. No murdered children were ever found and no children missing had ever been connected to the creche.

Now, before we mock the people of Christchurch for believing a Satanic child murdering and sexually molesting cult was operating out of their Creche, just consider how these allegations in the current woke environment would explode now?

Can we honestly say in the new woke world of B-E-L-I-E-V-E all victims that if these allegations surfaced today that we wouldn’t all climb on the exact same feral Lynch mob train?

If a mother complained on twitter that a heteronormative white cis male had molested their child (while murdering other children), he would already have been judged guilty and his house burned down and his job cancelled.

I don’t think we can be smug in the current woke environment that the exact same mob fear based response to Peter Ellis wouldn’t occur right now on Social Media.

It may be 30 years since this madness occurred, and I don’t think we are any better equipped to be responsible in response.

I don’t think we should B-E-L-I-E-V-E all victims, I think we should take every allegation seriously and professionally investigate them.

But when you B-E-L-I-E-V-E all victims you’ve crossed over from a rational examination of the evidence to a faith based cult.

There’s an irony in that somewhere.
